As the names says, this is a beautiful building near the centre of Lubeck. We had a delightful big room with large windows and plenty of space. Breakfast was excellenr, service excellent in lovely English. A very pleasant stay.

Great location. Very helpful and friendly staff. Walking distance to shops and food centers. Parking is in public lots 10 min. walk. Not so bad for a city center area.

Great little hotel in the old city
A great little hotel, well run and charming. Perfect location. Only issue is absence of free parking, which would not matter for most of the year, but at weekends in December public parking is very hard or even impossible to find.

Lovely little hotel
Lovely little hotel, very centrally located. Only issue is that hotel has no parking, which is not an issue for most of the year, but is a major issue during weekends in December as public parking is almost impossible to find.

As always a top notch hotel
I started staying at this hotel back in 2016 and I now stay there every time I travel to Luebeck. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast has a wonder selection from breads and cheese to eggs and bacon. The staff is top notch and very accommodating. Always a pleasure to stay here.

The hotel is clean and stylish. They offer a fantastic buffet breakfast. I was very disappointed with my room ... far too small for the placement of a double bed, which took up 50% of the room. The on suite toilet, sink and shower were contained in a cupboard 90cm x 270cm.

We enjoyed staying in the center of old town. It made it convenient to stop in our room in the middle of the day while touring the city. Neither of us speak German, but the staff was happy to provide assistance with maps and restaurant recommendations. Breakfast in the mornings was nice.

Close to city centre but quiet location. Rooms are good size, traditionally furnished and spotlessly clean. Shower room was a good size. Breakfasts nicely 'curated'. No problem with English.

Excellent hotel in old town lubeck
This hotel has great location. It is walkable to all major attraction. Hotel staffs are super friendly and welcoming. Room is a bit small but practical, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is amazing. For the price it is a steal!

This is a fine classic hotel with basic amenities and newly renovated bathrooms. My twin room was quite small, but comfortable, and featured a nice working area.

Great find
A lovely boutique style hotel. I had the 'small charming room'. The shower room was tiny but perfect. Modern fittings you wouldn't expect in this type of room. Lovely rainfall shower. Bed was comfortable too. Breakfast selection is small but adequate, continental style. Breakfast / dining area is really beautiful and cosy. Service was very polite and welcoming. This a gem of a find if you prefer the quieter boutique style stay. I would definitely stay here again. It's only a couple of hundred metres from the centre.

Charming hotel
I was traveling by myself so I stayed in a small single bed room. The room was super clean and cozy with a nice big window for light. The bathroom looked like it had been recently updated, everything was very clean and modern. Breakfast options were plentiful, wonderful and delicious, served with the best coffee of my trip. The staff were sincerely friendly and attentive. If I find myself in Lubeck again, I would most definitely come back to stay here.

The hotel is just down from the Marienkirche, which puts it close to many things in the old town. It is also on a quiet street. The room was small and smelled a bit like someone had been smoking in it, although I was assured it had not been a smoking room. Opening the window improved it a lot. The Wifi didn't work for me -- perhaps it is not compatible with Macs, but the reception couldn't help.

Excellent location, close to all sights.
Single traveller staying 4 nights. Single room of modest size, but certainly very adequate, being well cared for. Location could not be better, the Old Town being within a few minutes' walk. Railway and bus stations a short bus ride from stop 3- 5 minutes away, or walkable in 20 minutes or so..Breakfast fine, taken in a pleasant room. Staff willing, efficient and helpful. Don't believe there is a lift, so anyone with limited mobility would need to check the practicalities before booking (late wife was disabled and I remain aware of facilities).

Charming hotel in a small, charming town
This was my second time at the Klassik. It's a jewel of a hotel, with small, well-designed, pretty rooms in an atmospheric setting, staffed by people who are very hospitable. The sole drawbacks for some would be: (1) no lift, though there are rooms on the ground and first floor (there are only 2 stories above the ground floor) and (2) the free WiFi service would not work on my iPad though it did for my friend in a different room. But I can't imagine recommending any other hotel in the old Hanseatic city--five minutes walk puts you in the heart of the main street.

Friendly staff, clean and nice rooms with a lot of attention to detail. Great breakfast and good facilities. Parking was a bit of a hassle though and I needed park at an expensive car park in the end.

Superb, arrived really late at night but the staff arranged for the key to be left out. Hotel and room very clean and modern feel. I would recommend staying at this hotel it's central in the old town. Only 15 minute walk from the train station, very easy locate on the map. Thank you for a great visit to Lubeck

Convenient location for seeing Lubeck
The hotel is in a good place to easily walk around the sights of Lubeck. Room was clean and very spacious. Service was good and breakfast was good. The only negative was the outside temperature was unusually high for Northern Germany and hotel did not make any effort to cool the rooms.

The hotel was a nice older style building. The room was large compared to most European hotels. The bathroom good size also. It was really a charming hotel. Close to everything in Lubeck. However there were lots of stairs to the room - so make sure to bring a small bag since you will be carrying it up.

Gammeldags på den bedst tænkelige måde
Et helt igennem dejligt hotel, der er 'gammeldags' på den bedst tænkelige måde; ingen dumme nøglekort, ingen slimhindeudtørrrende aircondition, fjollede apps osv. … et rigtigt værelse med personlighed, rummelighed. Det hele er meget fint istandsat og virker nyt og i orden. Der er rent og personlaet er venligt og imødekommende. Morgenmaden er glimrende. Der er lagt vægt på det klassiske (som navnet jo antyder); indretningen er smagfuld klassisk, i lobbyen finder man et lille biblioteket der fremhæver byens berømtheder som Thomas Mann og Günther Grass … endog værelserne har et tema (vores var Willy Brandt, endnu en af byens stoltheder). Der spilles diskret klassisk musik i morgenmadssalonen etc. Eneste potentielle minus er, at der er noget lydt (måske fordi vores værelse lå lige ud til trappen). Det var ikke et problem for os – og måske ikke generelt, for hotellet lader til at tiltrække et modent publikum– men det er ikke et hotel jeg ville vælge, hvis jeg rejste med små børn … Placeringen er glimrende – men i Altstat er det nu også svært, at være langt fra noget :-)
