what must have a been a grand olde dame years ago has shifted to be a nice old hotel. The staff was very accomodating and friendly. The parking situation was inconvenient and unusual bordering on confusing. The room itself was very large, but with mostly bare walls and unusual(?) furniture choices. Having said all that, we were pleased with our choice by the time we checked out! We were surprised to read on the website about the "enchanting" garden. It may have been enchanting once , but those days are gone. It's too bad the bar and restaurant are no longer in business.

European charm. Large suite tha is dated/eclectic (red shag carpet, mid century furniture, etc) but that was part of the overall experience. Good breakfast selection. Also a local restaurant two doors down. Bed was very firm.

Comfortable rooms and great service.
We had to have a Corona test (2G+) and the receptionist was so kind to book us a test in a nearby (10min walk) testcenter. Parking in front of the hotel is free, the room was big, clean and comfortable and the city center is only a short walk away. If you like to sleep with your window open, you shouldn't get a room facing the main road in front of the building.

Lovely place to stay during our visit to Lübeck
Ours was a one-night stay in the Hotel Kaiserhof. There was a one-way system into and out of the hotel reception which was good, but I noticed that not all guests kept to this arrangement. Checking in was friendly, quick, and easy. Our room was spacious and very clean, with a comfortable bed. It faced the Kronsforder Allee but we didn't hear much traffic noise; I don't think the road was very busy even though it was a Saturday night, the sound insulation was very good and our sleep was not disturbed. The hotel is in a very good location for visiting Lübeck, close to lovely parks and walks, and within easy walking distance of the wonderful city and its attractions. Overall we thought it was very good value for money and we would definitely stay there again.

This old building is modern inside but has retained a lot of its old charm. It is within easy walking distance if the cathedral and the Old Town.

Old, character hotel. Old style double glazing - separate inner and outer hinged windows. Only the glass was missing from the left side and the whole window from the right side. Bathroom was mouldy with cracked and chipped floor and wall tiles. Badly in need of painting and/or renovating inside and out. Allegedly 3-Star and AUD230 a night. Breakfast was good and staff nice. Hasn’t seen any work in at least 20 years. Not doing the Centro brand any good.

Hotel with lots of potential, let down by staff
A characterful hotel, with some attractive public rooms. Guest rooms are dated but quite spacious and, again, full of character. The problems I encountered were all staff-related - and from the very start. Arriving in the afternoon, I was greeted with stony faces and the information that I was much too early and couldn't check in now. Nothing more. No 'But we can store your luggage'. No 'Welcome to Lubeck'. Just rudeness and awkwardness. Eventually the surly receptionist stored my bags, and I was left to fend for myself in the 30deg heat in a quiet part of town some way from the centre. Not good. Returning later, I was begrudgingly checked in. No fridge in the room, so I had to store my meds in the kitchen fridge. Quite a lot of incomprehension when I put this request, which made me feel like some kind of freak. Won't be going back.

sadly there are no coffee or tea facilities in the room and once Breakfast has finished at 10.30 no further food or coffees etc. are available for the rest of the day and the ouside terrasse is not available either if you are waiting for any amount of time. There are only 2 arm chairs near reception. A limited number of cold drinks including wine and one sort of German Beer are available from a fridge by reception together with a few snacks and soft drinks.

Very happy with this hotel
We were given a triple room for a just 2 of us which was basically an apartment and very spacious! The other regular rooms looked large too. Hotel is somewhat dated, but we found it to be charming. We were very comfortable. The hotel is a little out of the main old town of Lübeck but a lovely 10 minute walk along canels and over an ancient bridge. Good free breakfast.

Nice hotel walkable to centre
Fairly nice hotel, good location and decent breakfast. Negative points for us was uncomfortable bed and useless single pillow. Bed effectively a wooden crate with twin slimline Ikea twin mattresses. First nights sleep was unbearable, left feeling crippled with back pain. Second pillow from reception improved situation but at no time did I have comfortable night sleep.

We recently spent 2 nights here on the tail-end of our recent holiday. Staff were a little stiff at first on the front desk, but overall, they seemed nice. Breakfast was ok, nothing to rave about, actually the eggs were yuk! Selection of food was average. Free car parking is first-in-first-served. We had to park on the street! This hotel is ok, but not a highlight of our trip.

Charming hotel with great service.
Great hotel with genuine 24 hour service in a good location just outside main entrance to the Old Town. Staff were extremely helpful. The breakfast was of good standard - we were pleased by every aspect of our stay.

Nice Budget Hotel for a Overnight Stay
The room was neat and clean and had a very Old Look to it. Just 20 mins minutes walk from Altstadt and Holestentor. Hotel Staff was very nice and polite.

Classic stay
A pitoresque building in old school style. Looks like time stood still since 1960, but in a good way. Peaceful and classy interior, even though in need of a touch up. Rooms smallish, but very comfortable. Surroundings are tranquile, but with good access by car. Downtown a 10 minute stroll away. Plenty parking in front of hotel. All and all a decent stay.

Quaint and located close to restaurants
Lubeck was an overflow city to my destination of choice, since all the hotels over there were occupied. I chose Kaiserhof because it was the most economical even considering the cab ride to and from the train station. But after a day of staying in the hotel I was pleasantly suprised that the value offered was more tan just economics. Walking distance to restsurants, good breakfast and service with a smile are few of the features worth mentioning. The hotel is old but the ambience and comfort sink in soon.Negatives are tat Wifi in the rooms is not free, and the common wifi is flaky and it is €10 ride from the train sation. In summary I recommended this quaint hotel.

Nice room in the top floor of the hotel. Very spacious room and bathroom. Beds were a bit hard but ok. We missed the opportunity to make coffee. Nice personnel and ok breakfast. Walking distance to the inner city.

Närmare än man tror
Mysigt hotell i äldre byggnad som kanske är mer en fröjd för ögat än laddat med bekvämligheter. Stora rejäla rum. Våra rum hade badrum med endast badkar så det var lite bökigt att ta en snabb-dusch. Vattenkokare för kaffe/the saknades, likaså kylskåp. Dock fanns det ett praktiskt mellanrum mellan yttre och inre fönstret som det gick bra att kyla föremål i på vintern. Sängarna & Kuddarna var okej. TV och TV utbud fungerade som det skulle. Receptionisterna och frukostpersonalen var trevliga och tillmötesgående. Frukosten kändes något dyr i förhållande till utbud och kvalitetsnivån. Det mest positiva var att hotellet inte var så långt ifrån centrum som vi först trodde. En kort promenad över bron och så kommer man ganska snart till affärer, restauranger och övriga centrum.
