Comfortable stay with just one setback

Posted 18-Aug-2017
Hotel is very clean and comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. As a person with some physical mobility issues, my only complaint was the tub in the bathroom was so high that I had to sit on the edge and swing around to get in. Someone with more challenges would not have been able to shower. Beyond that, the service was great as well as the food. Shout out and kudos to Brian in the restaurant for breakfast buffet, you're the best my friend. Keep on smiling!

We could not check in at the announced time so left our bags. Unfortunately, because we had not formally checked in our friend was told you had no record of our reservation. She called twice and was told the same t hing. Alas, we were unable to meet her for our brief stay which was disappointing.

Short stay at Ballsbridge

Posted 04-Aug-2017
Pros: Situated close to the Aviva Stadium, and to the railway station
Cons: Coffee, consistently terrible, more like coloured hot water
Location: Close to Aviva stadiuma
Staying in Dublin as a tourist for a few days, and the hotel was close to the railway station, and bus route, for easy access to the centre of the city. Restaurant not open every evening, so had to resort to bar food, when a sit down meal was preferred. Otherwise service adequate

Will be staying here again.

This hotel holds the charm and decor of when it was first built however this is what makes the hotel unique and a pleasure to stay in. With 400 rooms I never felt I was crowded, the layout of this hotel has been created to not make you feel as though there are so many people. The location is a 10-15 mins walk to city centre and an air coach from the airport stops directly outside the hotel for €14.

The hotel is a bit rundown

Posted 30-Jul-2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Fit and finish. Too many thing are right on the edge of falling apart
Location: It is a short taxi ride to major attractions.
It is obvious that this hotel needs upgrades and updating. The reception area is nice but the fit and finish of the rest of the hotel needs work. The rooms are okay but these too need updating. the location is good.

Beautiful hotel

Posted 30-Jul-2017
Pros: Lovey room.
Cons: get rid of those high sided bath tubs. Could be dangerous for short people. Should have rooms with just showers too.
Location: Location was a bit too far out of town for me, but was accessible.
Wonderful room. A bit too far to walk to the lobby. Wifi kept going out but desk staff put it back on. Saturday night rate 3 times the rate of other dates.

Everything about the hotel was average. Considering the price I paid I was expecting a bit more
