Very comfortable stay and friendly, helpful staff
Had a wonderful, albeit short stay. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. (Thanks Ady and all the staff) The rooftop bar and restaurant is fantastic with excellent food and service for very reasonable prices. The room and bathroom were very clean and the room was also very quiet. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Sleep quality - excellent. WiFi is good. Laundry service available. Luggage storage available for late flights. Airport pick-up and drop off arranged for 150,000 rupiah. Will definitely stay again!

Pool bar not in use, but nice accommodation
Very good value for the price - comfortable room and lovely and clean which was a little bit of luxury after our hostels, and with a very affordable price tag. We had booked the hotel specifically for the pool bar, which they mentioned as a facility when we booked in but we got the pool and it was totally shut (looked like it had been for some time). We were told that it was too quiet to open which was obviously a huge disappointment. They brought up a bucket of beers for us which was kind, and placed a member of staff there for the 8 guests that there were, but we couldn't have any of the cocktails, and it felt really flat given that was our attraction to the hotel!

From the moment I stepped into the hotel service was excellent, very friendly staff, most obliging and helpful. Room was very clean, very comfortable. Hotel was close to all ammenities - shops, restaurants, beach. Excellent price.

Great Hotel with a Great Budget
Ion Benoa is a great hotel with a great budget. One of the best choice on the local area. Hotel provides free shuttle to several beach and shopping area.

Reasonable quality at reasonable price
The staff was very friendly, but the room was a bit smaller than I expected but clean. Location wise not bad, plenty of bars with similar menu (mostly western) along the street, plenty of convenient stores as well. Internet only worked at lobby, room air conditioning not always cold. They provide free shuttle to and fro beaches at no cost, including to Pendawa Beach which is about 20 minutes away, this could be a big saving if going by taxi instead. But the pool and rooftop bar a bit underwhelming, pool didn't look clean enough. Unlike advertised in some websites, no proof needed for room-sharing couples. Overall, good bargain for this price range.

Great value for money, really nice.
Definitely worth staying in the area if you want to explore Nusa Dua etc. So much cheaper than the hotels near the main beaches and the hotel offers free shuttles (just book in advance). The strip itself isn't all that, cheap shops but the restaurants are all the same! Literally same menu same price. Staff here really friendly and helpful, happy to extend our check out 6 hours so we could relax before our flight and then give us an airport transfer. Rooms really nice and modern. Pool was a bit cloud and looks like dirty water but nice enough, could do with more sun loungers. Massive value for money though.

All the staff are so lovely, friendly and helpful. They really made me feel welcome. The premises are a bit run down in places - the rooftop bar for example, but the friendly staff more than made up for it. Thank you!

There are lots of great restaurants in the area. The staff are great although sometimes there is a language barrier (they did not understand when I asked for extra toilet paper to be sent to the room). The service they offer to shuttle to the beach is great. My favourite was Geiger beach. The hotel DEFINITELY needs to upgrade the towels in the rooms. They have a weird smell and stains on them. Just old towels. They do offer beach towels which are in great condition. I did not get breakfast at the hotel I just went out to try different cafes instead which was cheaper than this upgrade. I did order room service one night and food was quite tasty, although the room service department kept calling me after for no clear reason.

Clean and affordable hotel in good location
Hotel was very clean with high standard staff. Overall experience was really good. Only breakfast range was small. Not everybody wants to eat noodles and rice for breakfast. Really recommend some fruits and fresh tomato/cucumber and some sandwich material like ham,cheese etc.

Value for money with excellent staff.
Pros: very friendly and helpful staff (nothing is too much trouble). Room was a good size and facilities were good. Cheap! Cons: Wi-Fi was a bit intermittent. Sheets could do with a bleach (greying white sheets, but clean and smelt nice!). There's loads of restaurants and a couple of mini supermarkets around the hotel. Not that close to the beach, but there is a free shuttle. Close to Bali Collection (free shuttle).

Fantastic staff
The rooms have only what you need (which isn't bad - we didn't plan on spending much time in the rooms) and there are some paint spots around the room. What made this holiday fantastic was the staff. We would have mini pool tournaments and we even caught the attention of the hotel manager, Mr Melky. We met his family and he would even offer us lifts to places, the family became our friends for the duration of our stay! The hotel food and drink is lovely and well priced - similar to prices of bars and restaurants down the street, much unlike most hotels which seem to charge double for their food and drink. The hotel itself is tucked away but a very short walk to the beach - where you can relax but there's also plenty of parasailing and all sorts of watersports at your fingertips. The hotel pool is lovely to swim in and looks very pretty with all of the over hanging greenery, however the swim up bar is not in use, though I'm sure in time and in high season this will change (we stayed in low season and the hotel is only a couple of years old!) We had a fantastic time and will definitely be going back soon to see the staff again.

Best hotel staff ever
The staff at the Ion Bali Benoa are there greatest asset. Most staff spoke English well and there always seemed to be someone around to assist. The free shuttle bus was an added bonus.

This hotel is a cheaper option in an area with lots of expensive resorts. It is quieter and slower than the kuta/legian area but there are not many cheap eating places around. There is a good walkway along the beach front and the hotel also offers a free shuttle to other very nice beaches. The rooms are western style and not that big but clean and everything worked. The best rooms are those that open onto the pool deck on the second floor. When we were there the hotel was very full so breakfast was vey busy. The staff were doing their best but it would have helped if management had provided another tea/coffee station to keep up with demand, also big open bowls of jam, butter and sugar are messy and not very hygenic. You can order eggs at the counter which we did not know until the second day.

Dont choose if you want action and nice beaches
When we arrived to Tanjung Benoa area, we got very dissapointed, becouse area around was quite boring, nothing to do, few restsurants and minimarkets. Even no normal entrance to the beaches, need to find small road between construction to get to the shore. Beaches itself are very dirty in that area, lots of garbages. The only option is to take a free shuttle from the hotel and go to other places, like Nusa dua which is nice and other. Hotel had that service for free shutlle, but generaly for the price we paid its not worth

The hotel is good and well kept but location wise for young couple is not so good as it was bit quiet at night and nothing much to do rather than spent the nights on restaurants in Tanjong Benoa.

A Wonderful Stay at The Ion Bali Benoa
The staff of the hotel went out of there way to make our stay wonderful. They would ask us in the morning if we had plans for the day, they offered transportation locally at no charge and all day excursions for a nominal fee. One day l said l would like to learn how to cook Balinese and they setup a night on the upper terrace at sun set and the chef taught me how to cook 5 different dishes. It was a night to remember for my family to watch me cook and then get to eat what l cooked. Our thanks and deepest gratitude to Milky and his staff to nothing less than a 5 star experience for myself and my family.

We only book for 3 nights, but then we extended our stay. The staff is friendly, the hotel is very clean and the food amazing. Many things to do around. Taxi driver from the hotel was extremely helpful (His name: Tambar). We had an amazing time in Bali.

A little out of the way from Nusa Dua, although the free shuttle is very handy and is only a 10 min ride away. Very clean rooms and a nice pool with a small pool bar. Pool doesn't get much afternoon sun but wasn't an issue at all. There is also a roof top bar/restaurant which offers great views of the area and the ocean. Smaller rooms but very good value for the money in an area of high end high priced resorts. Breaks aft is a buffet with a great made to order omelette station as well.

If you are looking for a hotel in Nusa Dua and do not want to spend much, Ion Benoa is your choice. The excellent staff will do everything to help you, very friendly people. I was a great holiday. Near by a lot of nice restaurants.

Loved it!
This was probably one of the best hotels I ever stayed at. There are so many great things: the nice rooms, the beautiful pool and the included breakfast. But if I had to say what made our stay so great, it would be the staff. From Gede and Sam, who left us awesome towel designs in our room, to everyone at the rooftop terrace, specially on our last night. Aan, Basma, Toni and Veni were so helpful and so much fun! They all made our stay absolutely wonderful and there is no doubt we will be coming back to Ion Bali Benoa to see them again!

Nice hotel across the road from Beach
Nice looking hotel, very clean, comfortable beds, good silent air con, safe, fridge, small swimming pool and swim bar, desk, good shower,toiletries, flat screen tv some english channels, quiet. The roof top restaurant and bar serves breakfast and has themed dinners for example Mongolian barbecue, Indonesian food evening. It is nice to watch the sunset there.

Awesome staff - made for a great stay
Well located hotel in Benoa - quiet as its off the main road a little. Wonderful friendly and helpful staff. There was a chinese tour group staying which made difficult for breakfast the first day - mowed down in the rush. The staff recognised this and all subsequent days - westerners had our own buffet breakfast atop the wonderful outdoor rooftop terrace. Nothing was too much trouble - good english skills also - totally recommend.

Great price, Great pool
Excellent hotel with a delicious breakfast and affordable rooms. There's no fresh air but if you're fine with air conditioning you'll find this resort perfect. There's great service and all staff are very helpful! I would stay here again!

Six night stay for couple on a budget. Nice, comfortable and cheap for Nusa Dua. Breakfast was included and was a good standard. Stayed in a standard double, modern with safe, fridge, aircon etc. Good shower and bed. Friendly staff Although our airport pickup wasn't there despite booking in advance. Enjoyable stay and would recommend
