Nice resort facilities, rooms need refurbishment

Closest of any hotel to the only shopping centre in Nusa Dua. About 5mins walk. Very large resort hotel and can take 5-10mins to get to your room from reception. Pools are wonderful with toddler slide and bigger kids/adult slide, and lots of shade from frangipani and other trees. Breakfast is available at two restaurants, one near the beach without airconditioning and the other closer to reception with airconditioning. However, both locations offer a sub-standard buffet breakfast in my opinion considering the price and being the Grand Hyatt. Our room was a good size with a separate daybed which is really a double bed comfortable enough for another adult. We overlooked a nice, large pond with koi. The resort's outdoor areas are very well maintained with ponds throughout. The biggest downside would be the room decor and finish. I think they need to be refurbished to compete with the likes of the nearby Sofitel. Also, didn't have a office desk in the room, just a small round table awkwardly situated at the corner of the room. Bathroom amenities were a little disappointing too, expected better quality. On a positive note, staff are attentive, friendly and helpful.
