"While the facility is older and shows its age, the room we had was nice with a wonderful view of the lake just steps from the door."

"Gerard was very responsive when we had trouble with the Wii, though the problem was in reading the password. What looked like a lower case l, was actually the number 1. The cabin was very clean and kept us warm with the gas heater. The hot water was VERY HOT and should probably be turned down. My husband almost got scalded in the shower. One of the beds was not comfortable. The driveway/parking situation is very tight and you had to be cautious of other cars coming down the road because it was hard to see what was coming.2 of the burners on the stove stopped working, though they worked on the first night.Pilot light? It could be helpful to leave some sort of directions for fixing this problem. We looked but we couldn't find anything. We were fine without it.It may sound like we had lots of problems, but all in all we had a good vacation."

"We had a truly meaningful stay at this rustic cabin near Lake Willoughby. We were there for a whole week and chose this spot for a very personal reason—to scatter my beloved father-in-law’s ashes as per his wishes—and the peaceful, serene atmosphere provided the perfect setting for us to honor his memory. In a beautiful twist of fate, we discovered while there that my father-in-law had actually known the grandmother whose family cottage this originally was, which made our time there feel even more special and connected. We like rustic and so this place was perfect for us. The cabin is perfectly nestled in nature, offering a quiet, soulful retreat. We enjoyed the lovely deck, which is a fantastic spot to take in the surroundings. It’s also very convenient that there is plenty of parking space available and check-in was easy. The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric hot plate and toaster oven, but there is no microwave, so plan your meals accordingly. We brought own soaps and shampoos. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape in a beautiful part of Vermont, this is a truly wonderful place to stay."
