Really thought the staff were excellent: friendly and helpful. Didn't rate the restaurant on the ground floor. Hadn't time to check out the highly rated Indian Restaurant. The room was spacious and clean.

Overall OK but a bit smelly and noisy.
The Pros; good location, good Indian restaurant, large rooms, good value The Cons; my non-smoking room smelt horribly of cigarettes, as did the general lobby, the noise from the in-house Disco was intrusive, WiFi speed poor (1-2mbps).

Good value for money
No frills hotel. A lower-end 4-star facility with 3-star price. Swimming pool is unheated and you can feel sands under your feet; but water is not dirty. Towels provided, but no soap at pre-shower. Rooms are nice and big. However we had to call mechanic as AC was not cooling enough. Buffet BF restaurant was crowded with inadequate service. We had had to wait so long just for hot water (for tea) to be refilled. I may stay there again as long as high discount continues.

Comfortable and clean
If your intention is just to have a good place to stay and a good breakfast at an affordable price, this is it and has more to offer. The location is in the old town area with lots of local food outlets to have something to eat. A Value for money.

Service was not the best. Staff did not know where the keys to the car were after they parked the cars. Front desk took a photocopy of our passports and then asked if we wanted them back (well duh!)They could not find our reservation as THEY spelled our name wrong and told us that the first time we gave them the name it wasn't the same as the second... it was the exact same name AND I also spelled it out for them TWICE

THE WATER PRESSURE OF THE SHOWER WAS VERY LOW AND WE CANNOT TAKE OUT THE SHOWER FROM ITS FIXING. NOT ENOUGH THREE PIN PLUGS TO CONNECT TO CHARGE THE MOBILE OR TABLET.

Good weekend in Bahrain.
Apart from the attendant's attempt to convince me I booked for only one, when I knew I booked for two. The overall experience was pretty good. The place was way better than I was expecting, considering where it's located. I'd definitely stay again and recommend it to my friends

Non-Western Hotel
I arrived at almost midnight. The staff was friendly and booked us rooms on the first floor however, that turned to be a smoking floor. On the Expedia, I requested no smoking, Fortunately the tobacco smell was not overwhelming. The music from the Twister club could be heard but I was too tired to care about it. The next day we were provided rooms on the 3rd floor which were nonsmoking but had two twin beds which was ok. The room and bathroom was clean and toiletry amenities were convenient. Had one breakfast which was varied and acceptable.

Good value for money terrible location
The hotel is good and the staff are very friendly, however the location is terrible and too much noise . I could not sleep because the next room was playing musing very loud. I complained the the receptionist went to the room and they lowered the volume slightly but not too much after that the night club finished at 2 and the people coming out were shouting in the street cars throughout the night was honking horn and you can hear all that from your room, I was in the 3rd floor. So I just could not sleep, I immidiatly checked out and I they did not refund my other night but I could not stay there.

Clean hotel
My stay at the Swiss international palace hotel was good overall. The bar area of the hotel needs to come into the 21st century. Very drab!!! They foyer could do with brightening up. Again too drab.staff were very helpful full and I would say that they were very good. The bathroom could have been a bit more sleek looking. Mouldy bath sealant is not appealing. Hotel surrounding area could do with some work as that let's the place down
