Great place to stay. Clean and very comfortable beds. Front desk staff (Peter) very friendly and helpful. We got a free breakfast voucer for pancakes french toast or biscuits and gravy just had to pay for coffee. This was at the Saloon Bar and Grille. Located in thr Wall Drug area. 2.5 blocks from hotel

I had called in advanced to let them know I was bringing my dogs with. I wasn’t aware of the fee, but that was fine with me. Once we arrived to the property, I was greeted with the most hostile person. I told her my name and I had dogs. I was met with attitude about having dogs and they don’t allow 3 dogs. I assured her I called already, but I didn’t have a name. She then told me their pet rooms are closed for the season, even though there were other people with dogs there already. I had to pull up my call log to state the date and time I called because she said “Who’s THEY” that I talked to. She then checked me in and told me I was paying more for my dogs to be there than the room itself since I had a few, which I was okay with. She then proceeded to talk about her leaving her cats home where they belong and other passive comments. We got put in a room that was connected to the only 24 hour door, which was constantly shaking our door. It made the dogs bark every time because they thought someone was trying to get in our room. When we left the next day, I got a call that the dogs were barking, so we came back to grab them. We went everywhere and they sat in the car. when we got back, I was bombarded with “why did you leave a bad review.” I hadn’t yet, but it was so unprofessional and uncomfortable to ask that. I also asked a man clerk if the pet fee was taxed and he said “ya a barking fee.” The dogs didn’t bark besides at the door. It was such an unwelcoming experience.

Dear Hannah,Unfortunately this seems to be a huge misunderstanding. Our staff thought that they had a great conversation with you and was chatting about her pets that she has back home in Montana. We normally don't take 3 pets in a single room so that might be a little confusing unless someone entered a note to that fact. You did leave a negative feedback here on Expedia, so our staff addressing it to make sure everything was ok, maybe be unprofessional to you, but we want to see every single guest that stays with us happy. We have to tax every single item we charge for, so if Pete said it was a barking fee, it was simply a funny joke. They all seemed to think that you were friendly and didn't have a problem so to see this come across is alarming to all our staff. We will try to do better and I apologize if you took any friendly conversation the wrong way. Best Wishes,Joseph

The rooms are super cute. It's almost like staying in a hunting lodge. I came in pretty late because i was making a road trip. The man who helped me (I think his name was Ben, but i have a bad memory) was very nice. He even gave me coupons that i will have to use when i come back through. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Even the sofa was really comfortable. I probably could've slept on that for the night! My only critique is the bathroom. The door opens only a few feet from the toilet so you can't really close it if you're using. Good thing it was a solo trip! Overall though, i highly recommend. The atmosphere, staff, and super comfy rooms are worth it!

Received an upgrade to the rustic king size room on the first floor with parking directly in front of room, which was amazing because it was particularly cold. Room aesthetic was so cozy. Room was CLEAN clean. Only issue was hot water wasn’t very hot (rain shower was amazing though) and breakfast was off site.

Booke our room as we were traveling through. We got in the room and settled only to find the water was shut off. I called and was informed the room had been "winterized" and that we could go next door to the Days inn as they owned that place as well. I asked about the difference in money as the days in was $30 dollars cheaper. He assured me we would be refunded. Once getting to the days inn, no one was there to check us in and we called the after hours number. The woman told us they hid keys under the coffee pot, to grab one and go to the room. This room was 2 doubles and again, cheaper. They denied my refund. This was the worst experience ive ever had.

The staff, especially Petes was great. Service fantastic. The area (off season) still have access to food and drinks. Also easy access to Badlands Only issue - a outside the room - trash can overflowing.

Do not recommend!
We had a paid reservation. Check in instructions said check in times were from 3PM until ANYTIME. I arrived at 11:30 PM, and the lobby was locked. I called the after hours number posted to the door multiple times, and nobody answered it. The voice mail box was full. We're exhausted after sitting in the car all day, and were looking forward to rest. It took us an hour to find another place to stay.

Room was dirty, floor dirty and bathroom unclean. Walls near the sink and bathroom door frame were covered with lint or dust of some kind, very gross. Shower curtain was already wet when I went to shower. I had zero hot water my entire stay. No one seemed concerned to fix it or accommodate it when I reported it. Didn’t get a shower after a long day of traveling and hiking. Water smelled like sewer so brushed my teeth with bottled water. Front desk lady was rude and threatened to charge me another night when I asked if it was an option to check in early if a room was available. Later found out from night clerk there were only 3 reservations the entire day. Overal just a poor experience. I don’t consider myself high maintenance and I knew this wasn’t a Hilton but price seemed reasonable and prior reviews were good. Unsure of why I had such an unpleasant experience but would not recommend this motel to anyone. It appears to be an old motel that someone had half a** thrown some “updated” material to make it look nicer. I think if staying in Wall, look in to other properties.

Hello Keri I am the manager of ABVI nd i remember you when you were checking out and by no means I was rude or didn't care what was oing on with the water issues but our water heater went out during the night and I immediately got the owner and maintenance person on it right away. I did give a 25.00 refund to you for the water issues.Sorry for the experience and hope one day you will stay with us again
