Great escape from city life
Really enjoyed being close to private beach area (beach towels are provided), with shuttle bus running regularly. We stayed in a standard room which was comfortable enough, though shower cubicle could do with being larger. Lots of activities for adults and kids throughout the day. Staff were friendly and eager to please, although we had some language barrier issues so would recommend taking a phrasebook. Good choice of restaurants for dinner, some required a supplement. The traditional Sardinian restaurant was particularly tasty. Breakfast restaurant depends on which area you're staying in. Limited cooked breakfast, but we could have fried eggs on request. We were bothered by wasps every evening at dinner, especially when eating al fresco. Would recommend booking two days in advance for restaurants and tennis courts to ensure availability. Wifi was intermittent and very slow, and confined to a handful of communal areas. There were several swimming pools which were clean and not too crowded, but we were surprised that there were not many parasols near the main pool. Overall the complex seemed well maintained with an efficient service. Its secluded location made for a great escape from the hustle and bustle of London, but we found that a car hire was essential as there was very little to do within walking distance. Hotel is also quite a drive from Olbia airport which is not an easy drive without sat nav.
Pros: Village-like set up, private beach, tranquil setting, shuttle service, activities, beach towels provided, choice of cuisines.
Cons: Wifi, insect repellent in restaurants, room doors hard to lock, better knowledge of English among some staff, English TV channels, more parasols.
Location: Secluded location with little to do outside complex within walking distance. Car needed to explore rest of the island.
