Absolutely fantastic hotel!
Private beach villa.
Food was eclectic and amazing!
Staff are there to cater to your every whim, even if you have none.
Spa is pure bliss with very experienced therapists.
I was a little worried about the reviews about this hotel initially. But after visiting this paradise, I am glad I booked this place for my honeymoon.
We stayed at Kihaad for 8 days. The property is beautiful and people who like to stay close to nature will really enjoy here.
We were welcomed with a few surprise gifts on our arrival. 50% discount on a couple's spa treatment, dinner at their restaurant Sarong, welcome cake and champagne :)
We booked a water villa which was huge!! It was built with an open air bathroom which was very enticing at first. But during our first night, we noticed a few lizards in the bathroom. But I really appreciate the fact that upon complaining about the bathroom, we were immediately upgraded to a garden villa with an enclosed bathroom and a private pool.
There were a lot of activites that kept up engaged during our stay.
The food was an amazing experience as well. The chef asked us about our preferences and cooked special dishes for us.
I would highly recommend this resort to anyone visitng Maldives.

The Royal Island Resort & Spa provides splendid beachfront just outside your villa style room. I very much enjoyed my walks along the beach surrounding the island and breathtaking views of the sunset. Snorkeling on site was wonderful, especially around the service jetty pier and the reef areas that surround the island. Royal Island Resort & Spa also provides excellent indoor recreational facilities including table tennis, badmington, racquetball & squash.... especially useful on a rainy day.

My husband and I just got back from five amazing days. The resort is just beautiful. You have to see it to believe it. I am going to keep this review somewhat short and simple because I can go on and on about the resort. The resort is very well kept and the villas are unbelievable. We were lucky to have stayed in both villa types - overwater and beach. The service and food was excellent. From the dining experience, the ambiance and the way things are setup is just picture perfect. The underwater restaurant is just amazing. There is plenty to do on the island so you will not get bored. Also the resort is very kid friendly and even comes with a kids play area. I noticed how the staff interact with the kids made me regret not bringing my 3 year old son. And the staff...I cannot say enough about them. They are the most loving friendly and attentive group of people. I don't remember all the names but the ones I do are: Solah(our host), Happy, Rifoo, and Ihthi. We also had a nice and fun chat with Ali. Thank you so much for the warm hospitality. I have to admit I was sad leaving but I can look back with a smile. Being from the states, it is quite a journey there but sooo worth every penny. We will definitely return. This time with our son.

"Great Place! Memorable trip thanks to Super Hosts"
We had a fantastic experience thanks to our hosts Ryshyn and Sidey. From planning our transfer logistics to arranging last minute flights, you guys were such angels. The resort is located on the ocean front with amazing views and private beach access. And of course being one of the first few guests helped. We were pampered quite a bit!! Being located on an inhabited island offers a unique chance to experience both the local culture and a resorts' exclusivity. We were able to do quite a bit of snorkeling. Sidey's lessons and his amazing patience took us from knowing zilch swimming to be able snorkel on our own in 2 days. We also got some great food, thanks to Nasi. European, Indian, local Madivian cuisine - name it, we had it all - king size.
Thanks a ton for such a great holiday and a memorable experience.
