Quality has gone down
We stayed at the Station eight years ago and looked forward to returning. When we walked in, the lobby smelled, the service at the front desk was slow, and it wasn't clear to the clerk that we'd already paid for the room. The wi-fi didn't work, the hotel was under new ownership and there was no bar service (although we were told we could walk down the block to a convenience store and bring our own drinks into the lounge). The smell in the lobby continued up to the lounge and into the room. The only positive experience was housekeeping. They were helpful and did a good job. Overall, it was not what we were expecting. We won't be going back to the Station.

Nice room in a very old fashioned hotel. Enjoyable stay the only issue was the maid walking in the room without knocking the door while I was getting changed! The maid service wasn´t the best either but other than that an enjoyable stay.

Spare yourself this misery. It ruined my vacation .
This hotel is not a place where you can sleep. The trains rattle through all night. You cannot get a decent meal. Even the fish and chips and the hamburgers are not edible. On the coolest days the heat inside the rooms is torture and not only is there no A/C, there are no screens on the windows. If you get the window open the flies swarm in. I did not even have a working telephone in my room. Most importantly, do not prepay. Reserve the right to check out if you're unhappy with the hotel.

TOTALLY DISSAPPOINTED
The Hotel is lakcing a clean touch, receptioist very polite and efficient, started to walk up the stairs to my room, and the stairs carpet on the 2 floors i travelled was filthy, not been touched by a cleaner for some time looking at some of the debris on the stairs. room was ok, and bed reasonably comfortable. had no hot water initially, i had to literally run the tap for some 3-4 minutes before i got any hot water!! wanted a cup of tea, which hotel had provided me with tea making faciltiies and ingredients, but when i looked in the kettle it was minging, dirty and brown inside. i went for breakfast the following morning and this was ok, nothing special on a medium size plate, only when checking ot to be told i had to pay £9.95 for breakfast!!! i would not have given you £2.50 in a greasy spoon for this let alone £10 here! I WILL NOT BE RETURNING HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
