When we arrived, we were sent to a room in a different building. At first we could not find the room because we had to pass through an outside patio area, and this area was under construction. So after not being able to get to our room, we returned to the front desk. We were then taken back to the building where our room was supposed to be, and were walked through the construction area (asking the workers to stop so that we could pass safely), and finally found our room. When we finally got into the room we were overpowered by a horrible smell. Again I had to return to the other building again to complain about the stench in the room. Again the person at the front desk came back with me to the room, and confirmed that yes—there was in fact a horrible smell. Again, back to the other building to get a key to a room in yet another different building. This one didn't smell, so we decided to keep the room. All this back and forth probably took about 45 minutes of our time. We should not have been inconvenienced so badly upon our arrival at the hotel. It seemed as if the staff were unaware of any problems (and construction) that was happening at their own property.
