We had 1 night in Aviemore. Hotel was nice and clean but a lot of money for what it was. Breakfast very good! Out buildings where all abit confusing and definatly room for improvement on them and entrance to hotel.
My daughters and I stayed at the Carn Mhor B & B for two nights, during our 23 day UK trip. This hotel was one of our top four favourites, out of 14 different hotels. Not only was the host welcoming and attentive, but he was also good company. We stayed in the triple room, which was spacious and cozy. There was a DVD player in the room and a small selection of movies, which gave us an excuse for a much needed girls night in and break. Our room was in a separate building and the wifi was not strong, which was good for quality bonding time, and the host allowed us to use the breakfast room for the wifi signal any time we wanted. It is true the bathroom, while private, is on the lower floor .. but this is only a minor inconvenience. The breakfast room was comfortable and bright. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety, fresh fruit salad, hot and cold choices. The B&B is close to Aviemore and it's endless activities, our host was very helpful with planning our day. We had such an excellent stay and would not hesitate to stay again or recommend to ANY other guest. We had such a great time, that we forgot to take any pictures!
We arrived later in the evening and thought that we had missed food, but the staff were extremely accommodating and offered us the full menu - which was first rate. Fresh ingredients and well prepared. We ate in the bar area and our dog was made very welcome. Our room was very comfortable and clean and our dog was allowed to stay with us.
Throughout our stay, the staff were very welcoming and chatty - we would definitely go back.

Actually booked the Morlich hotel but when we arrived we found we were upgraded to an executive room in the Highland hotel . Room was very comfortable and really quiet at night time . Breakfast was excellent , with plenty of choice.
We'll certainly return sooner rather than later
The breathtaking Cairngorms National Park provides stunning scenery for Aviemore, which lies to the northeast of the mountainous area. A fantastic base for exploring the vast surroundings, Aviemore offers a range of outdoor activities. Those seeking adventure can go whitewater rafting or ski the Cairngorm Mountain, whilst those looking for a relaxing stay can simply soak up the views.
