The hotel room was of good value, had a small kitchen and dining area, had cable and was within walking distance to many local spots. There seemed to be a large homeless population downtown and the hotel is a little close to a shelter, but otherwise fine. The bathroom could have been cleaner or refreshed a little more recently, but also fine.

Came for business, pleasure, and a bit of family time. While not all Marriott's have delivered like this one, the staff here were very helpful, pleasant and efficient. Lobby /public areas were actually someplace you'd want to hang out!
The location is so great for Austin... you don't have to fight traffic to get basics, and still plenty of great Austin food nearby. Room had space to move around...loved the Netflix login feature on the TV.
Temperature in the room was very easily controlled to our liking.
We accidentally left some valuables in the room. Didn't realize it until about 8 hours later. Called, they had them and we picked them up. Really great staff.

Each time I would need to leave to attend my conference (On the Lobby Floor) I would need to leave 10-15 minutes early due to the wait time for the single elevator that seemed to be working. I was there for five days and it was a constant issue. One time I even helped a women when the door closed on her. The appearance of the hotel, the comfort is wonderful, but that elevator was truly an issue. I used the stairs several times because I was only on the fourth floor, but it was annoying.
