One important thing to know is that Valet parking is the only option, from what I understand. It is $55 a night (with taxes). The hotel is LOVELY. The staff are courteous and very helpful. It is a very busy area of town but our room was quiet without any road sounds.

When it comes to hotels, I feel my expectations are quite reasonable: comfortable place to prepare for sleep, comfortable way to have breakfast, and in an upscale hotel, some way to relax with friends (also staying at the same hotel). I was caught off guard how thoroughly a DoubleTree Suites by Hilton managed to fail at all three expectations. Breakfast? Dining area is closed, the best you can have is food delivered to your room, so if you want to have another cup of coffee, or seconds, back to first floor you go. No cocktails or anything else facility-wise available to relax with friends either. Want to read or work in the evening? Too bad, the light fixtures in the room blink, two of them, without rhythm or reason. We tried to use the pool, and could not bring ourselves to partake - it has not been cleaned in a while. Dishwasher noise level makes it absolutely impossible to sleep with it working. On a positive side, the room was clean, and the personnel was friendly. But no matter what they did, they could not offset atrocious state of the facility itself. I cannot shed feeling that I was treated to essentially a Motel 6 experience in a notionally 4-star hotel by Hilton.

I love the convenience of this hotel when attending events. The rooms are nice and beds are super comfy - I always sleep well. (Although the bedrooms need better lighting). On this visit, the hotel's restaurant was closed for renovations so the only food option was room service which was sadly disappointing for both the dinner & breakfast I tried. Especially for the price. My previous dining experience (when the restaurant was open) was far better.

While staying in this property I experienced many many issues beginning with the hotel it’s self, it’s been under remodel for over six months according to the staff, therefor many things don’t work and it’s extremely dirty every where you see. The staff isn’t helpful & the rooms are very poorly remodeled. In my room the handle to the balcony broke when I tried opening it, ripping a piece of my finger in the process that has left my finger disfigured & in lots of pain

I understand the lobby is undergoing upgrades but it was very inconvenient to get around. Nobody to show the way to the registration desk (which looked like a snack bar) and not even any signs to direct you to the registration desk. Elevator interiors were dirty. There were dishes in the hallway of our room that never got removed the entire time we were there. There wasn't a single trash can in our room until we were about to check out and only then at our request.

I liked that it's being remodeled and the cookies were amazing! The front desk staff was amazing. What I disliked is that I wanted to watch TV and it got very glitchy, all the channels. I understand that this is because it's under construction. I would have loved more illumination in the room. I like brighter spaces to live. I understand yellow light is cozy and nicer, but not for me. I like to have the option of white bright light where you can see yourself well when you put on makeup.

The a/c didn’t work the first night. The last night the water was turned off, so we couldn’t flush the toilet or use the shower or sink. The tub was stained. The door threshold was broken. Had to pay an extra $51 a day to park because valet was the only option and street parking was not a sensible option (not advertised by Expedia) and had only in room dining options as they are renovating the hotel (not advertised by Expedia) so really not blaming hotel mostly a lack from Expedia

The room was renovated but had several issues. 1) dim lighting in living areas. No lamp or reading light in the bedroom on the nightstands; 2) a large work desk but bo overhead lighting or lamp to allow user to see what they are writing;) 3) TV set in bedroom would after a while go blank or have a squiggly screen—losing the picture; 4) all outlets were low to the ground and/to behind nightstands. Should have desk or nightstand level outlets; 5) very expensive valet parking rates; 6) coffee bar had only 1 caffeinated coffee pod.

One night stay in Austin so wanted to stay close to UT campus…about a mile away. Room was nice found out at checkin there is only valet parking. Then found it was over $55 per night with tax. And they encouraged you to tip 8.65 for one night. I don’t begrudge the workers—not their fault. But $55 per nite. You could at least note that when we reserve a room and let the customer decide if it’s worth it. I probably would not book again

Terrible expertience. The Safebox, phone, and the pool doesn't work They don't even clean my room No room service for breakfast or lunch. Really bad experience.
