Horrific!
The only reason I booked here was because it was advertised as pet friendly, they even provided bowls. We checked in and they were able to move us from a room in the ‘gods’ to a room on the ground floor. We entered our room with our dog, when the proprietor? burst in behind us gesticulating and shooting about the dog. My wife was crying. This person needs some bedside manners. The room was VERY dated. The toilet spent the whole night topping up in a noisy manner, finally giving up the ghost in the morning. You needed to be Houdini to get in and out of the toilet. Breakfast was just appalling. We are seasoned travellers and this place is the worst we have ever stayed at. I could go on but simply not worth wasting my time.

Could be an amazing place with a bit more effort.
It was a budget stop over however it looks as though the rooms have not been decorated since the 70’s. I don’t think there is an excuse for this. We accept budget but some effort is required. Dog poo in the car park in several places.

A place to forget..!!
The hotel was in a good location and very pretty from the outside, unfortunately the check in person/manager was not welcoming...even arguing with pronunciation of our British names... We had to scale two flights of stairs, with baggage in stifling heat..when got to our rooms..it was not any cooler, no fan, no aircon...outside and inside temperatures of high 30s C. After our check experience we decided to eat elsewhere that evening, when we returned to the hotel at about 9pm we were informed in a surly manner that the bar was closed....we said we were guests and did get served eventually waiting nearly 20 minutes for our dtinks...there seemed to be arguments among the staff, involving the same person who checked us in...we have put this hotel at the bottom of the list for ever returning...and would not be able to recommend it to anyone ...even the shower was not connected to a water supply..!! We cannot give this hotel any recomendation..it was just a very bad experience we do not want to experience again..!!. Oh and the bar prices were extremely expensive...!!

A LITTLE TIRED NOW
The Hotel was adequate for the three of us - THREE, not four as had been registered/booked by Hotels.com. It was a family matter why we were there, but the staff and proprietor were very understanding. The food was very good but rather expensive - the Hotel itself being in need of some modernisation. It was comfortable but it would have been disappointing had we been on holiday or there for a leisure break. All in all, disappointing as far as the hotel, but 'saved' by the kind attentions of the proprietor(s) and staff.
