With wide views across sea and farmland, it’s a quiet space to unwind but close to everything you’ll want to see and do on the island. The Space: The apartment is bright and sunny, designed with comfort and ease in mind. There’s a full kitchen, a brand-new bathroom, and a comfortable lounge area with Smart TV, Wi-Fi, and premium linen, every detail considered for an easy stay. You’re close to Waiheke’s best-known vineyards and restaurants, with beaches, walks, and golf all within a short drive. After a day out, you can cook at home, pour a glass of something local, and enjoy the stillness of the property as the light fades over the bay. The property sits down a long gravel road from the main road, private, quiet, and part of what makes it feel like a true escape. On-site parking is provided, and the property is reached via a gravel driveway leading from the main road. Check-in is from 2:00 pm, and check-out is by 10:30 am. Early check-ins or late check-outs may be available for a small additional fee, depending on bookings. The Neighborhood: Your morning starts quietly here coffee in hand and the island already moving at its own pace. You’re close to everything here, with cafés, beaches, and vineyards within easy reach. Grab a coffee from The Island Grocer, or stop by AkiTō Deli for something fresh from the counter. For lunch, Arcadia Café in Palm Beach is an easy local favourite. Dinner’s best at Fenice in Oneroa Village, or try The Oyster Inn for something more refined with a view of the bay. If you’re in the mood for a little shopping, Oneroa Village has boutique stores and galleries to wander. The Tailor and His Lover for designer pieces, Body & Soul for island wear, and Timmy Smith for jewellery and small gifts. You can also stop by The Island Grocer for local produce, cheeses, and Waiheke wines to take back to the apartment. A short drive brings you to the vineyards of Mudbrick, Cable Bay, and Tantalus Estate, each known for their wine tastings and long lunches. For a more casual evening, The Heke Kitchen, Brewery & Distillery is a local favourite, open-air dining, craft beer, and a live DJ on Friday afternoons through summer. Getting Around: Getting around from Fairview Apartment is easy and half the fun. The nearest bus stop is about a minute’s walk away, with regular routes running between the Matiatia ferry terminal, Oneroa Village, and Onetangi Beach. If you haven’t brought a car, don’t worry, the buses here are part of the Waiheke rhythm. Jump on, meet a few new people, and make a day of it. The main route passes through Vineyard Valley, stopping right outside many of the island’s top wineries and The Heke Kitchen, Brewery & Distillery, where Fridays often end with music, craft beer, and open-air dining. It’s a relaxed and social way to explore, no parking to think about, no hurry, and no need to drive after a glass of wine. Really a gem, so we're almost tempted to keep quiet about this find. It has splendid views. It is extremely quiet and serene, with only nature and animals around you, but it is still just minutes from Ostend. The whole place is superbly immaculate, well stocked with everything, nice linen and a luxurious bed, Sky TV, kitchen, etc. Everything you ever would want in a place. Last, our host Andy let us borrow his old, but very comfortable BMW 320i during our entire stay. How can you beat that? We will obviously stay here for all future Waiheke trips. The accommodation was spotless, well designed, tastefully decorated and everything we needed to be able to relax and use as a base in preparation for a friend's wedding. Added toys to accommodate our toddler were also a perfect touch. Thanks again Andrew for your hospitality. I recommend Fairview Apartment 100%. The apartment was lovely, sparkling clean with a large very modern bathroom; a self contained kitchen which had everything we needed to prepare our meals; large bedroom and very comfortable lounge area. It was surrounded by a wooden deck with comfortable chairs to sit in good weather. The views were of native trees and bush with peeps of the ocean in the distance. Andrew and Ruth Grant are the most welcoming and loveliest people! My Partner and I felt very at home. Ruth went the extra mile to organise cafe treats along with candles to be ready on arrival for my partner. The set out of the aprtmnt/flat was modern, eye catching and spacious. Having worked in hotels, I couldn't believe how clean the aprtmnt was! It has everything you need! Andrew offered to drop his Kayaks off down at the beach too.Please go stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Fairview. A lovely quiet property with great views over the bay and in a convenient location for getting around the Island. The accommodation is beautifully appointed with everything you need for your stay. We're looking forward to coming back and using the BBQ in the summer.
