Convenient location

Posted 17-Aug-2017
Pros: It was very convenient to the place I needed to be.
Cons: The Days Inn seemed very clean, but badly in need of updating. The carpets especially seemed pretty grubby.
The Days Inn in Auburn, NY is conveniently located. Nightlife, restaurants, supermarket are not at all far.

Friendly staff.

Pros: The staff and the price.
Location: Very close to downtown Auburn. Just across the street from the Seward House. Seward was the Secretary of State to Abraham Lincoln.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. My stay was made even more enjoyable by how quiet it was. No road noise and no noise from other guests. Very good breakfast served in the morning. Overall a fantastic place to stay when in Auburn.

Better than nothing

Out dated ( family run ? ) hotel. Friends that also stayed there had flat screen tv and two refrigerators ? We had no fridg. and an old tv. Parts missing from coffeemaker, sink was plugged up and sink faucet was ready to fall off.

Needs a total face lift.

Lots of things didn't work. Continental breakfast pitiful and everybody shares the jam and peanut butter jars! Yuck. Clean sheets for rooms left on dirty floor in hallway. Bed uncomfortable. Sheets not big enough to totally tuck around the bed! Only stay as last resort!

Bed pillows where Smaller then a standard size bed pillow and AC was not working right. The woman who checked us in and out as well as tried to fix the AC was wonderful.

The hotel staffs were nice and the location is convenient to other things. But hotel facilities and condition are old, bathroom has no supplies and you may want to bring your own towels for stay in this hotel.

Staff pleasant.

Stayed at this hotel because it allows dogs and we were traveling through with ours. Room was nothing special. Bathroom ceiling had loose plaster from leak. Shower curtain had mildew on it but the room was otherwise clean. My dog who is usually quiet growled the whole night watching the door. The front desk was really pleasant with our check in. Breakfast was in the conference room and ok. No pool or fitness center even though it says there is one. Small park across the street to walk the dog but when walking down the street noticed a crack pipe laying on the sidwalk. Maybe ok in a pinch but would not book it for a vacation stay.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Breakfast bar;
Location: On a business trip
I would not eat anything from their breakfast bar. Had a small bagel with strawberry jam that was enclosed in a wrapper and when I tried to put it on my bagel it was really hard to get out. Probably out-dated jelly Allowing a guest to have a propane tank in their room to cook...illegal Make sure you check for bedbugs. Toilet kept on running
