The decor was very cute. There were 2 screened in porches. When we arrived early evening, there were other guests asking about popcorn and were told that they made it at 5:30 and when it was gone there wasn't any more. There were very few cookies left on the counter. How about those who can't arrive until later? We just miss out on the "nice" things. The light by our door didn't work and when in the shower in the morning, the shower head flopped down to only spray on the wall making it very difficult. I told the person at the desk and they said they would tell maintenance. That is great for the next guest, but we were inconvenienced for our stay. I was not offered a discount or any type of compensation.

Have stayed here before, whilst en route from Ontario to Illinois. It's a convenient and comfortable stopping place on the first night out. The rooms are small, but perfectly adequate. No complaints at all! I had pre-booked and paid. On arrival all was ready, and there were no problems or issues.
The hotel is very well located near I-69 and surrounded by restaurants and shopping. Also it is just a short trip to the heart of historic Auburn. Auburn is not a big city and the hotel reflects that but is still and excellent choice. The entire staff with whom I had any inaction proved that Hosier Hospitality is thriving in Auburn. I received a complimentary upgrade and the room was very spacious, clean and quiet. The morning breakfast is more than adequate. On a Saturday morning the breakfast room was full of children which was a bit loud and energetic for an older man traveling alone but kids are kids! Sunday morning the young families had moved on and all was quiet. If I were still at the stage of life where I travel with a young family this place is perfect! The price for the quality and welcome is well worth it. Two thumbs up!
Ignore the smokers around the front as there aren't too many and not too smoky.
Avoid the "no elevator" problem by shifting to first floor.
Continental breakfast did the job, especially if you like fresh waffles.
Easy access to I69, lot o' restaurants nearby, and a Wal Mart for forgotten travel toiletries.
Famous for the birth of the automobile in 1895, the city of Auburn is now home to four auto museums, including Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum. DeKalb Outdoor Theater features a free performance series during the summer months, and Indian Springs Campground in nearby Garrett offers fishing lakes, cabins, sports courts, and boat rentals. Auburn is located 23 miles north of Fort Wayne.
