We ended up staying somewhere else because the room stunk and the air conditioner didn't work

Good But BAD

Posted 03-Jul-2016
Pros: The staff was nice
Location: it's in walking distance of a lot amenities, restaurants, and more
To be honest, The hotel was good for the price. The staff was very friendly, and the facility was ok. But the issue I had was that during my two night stay,Me and my wife woke up the first night with bites on our bodies. We didn't want to jump to conclusions because we thought maybe we got bit outside the room. so the next night we woke up with even more bites. at this point we were convinced we were getting bit by something in the bed. We voiced our concern to the hotel manager but he was unable to rectify the situation due to the owners of the hotel not being around to make a decision. I was unhappy that I had to sleep uncomfortably every night and still be changed full price for my stay. I understand as a business owner about certain situations but this should have been resolved.

The pool was broken for maintenance, but we weren't made aware of that prior to arriving. Both my son and I also received extensive bug bites after our night at the hotel...not bed bug bites, but multiple large, swollen bites that are still swollen three days later. The room was not especially clean, specifically the walls in the bathroom. We won't be staying at a Quality Inn again.

Our room was next to a stairwell so all we heard all the time were people going up and down the stairs. Was not updated at all. Wifi was impossible to get on. Thankful all we did was slept there and we didn't have to hang out in our room at all.

Close to restaurants and shops

Posted 27-Apr-2016 on Wotif
Pros: Location
Cons: Fresh smelling rooms and no bed bugs.
Location: Good Chinese restaurant across the road. Shops nearby.
This hotel was well located to Restaurants and shops. When we got into the room it had a smell of smoke and every time we returned to the room it was the some. It was a non smoking room. Reception gave as a spray to freshen up the room [they also offered us another room. We chose to stay in this room in case the other one was worse.] My partner has been suffering from the bed bug bites for the last week. The sheets smelt of smoke, but the towels did not. The pool was closed for maintenance. Breakfast was ok and the general cleanliness was ok. If I had to stay again in this area, I would pick another Hotel closer to the food and shops.

Very Nice

Wonderful staff , close to Stone MTN. It is not ur usual med size hotel room but it suited us fine. It was really clean too. We bought food at a Chinese place and ate at the lobby table. Free breakfast but we ate outso didn't have it so I cannot rate it. But they have free all day coffee and juice (orange and cranberry)
