It was on a quiet street and yet in a great location for exploring Athens and walking to the Acropolis and restaurants. The villa was extremely clean and spacious, with bedrooms on three different floors. The library room was cool and even had a selection of CDs. It was an extra space to hang out in and could also be accessed by a staircase in the basement bedroom so it made for a nice private space for those in that room. Yannis was very responsive and his associate met us at the house at 7 am since our flight arrived early that morning and we had booked it for the night before so we could sleep right away. There was a gated (locked) parking area for two cars. It had other fun amenities like a jacuzzi in a room that the door could close, as well as a pool table. The privacy shutters were great and they automatically closed in all rooms when leaving the house and setting the alarm. It was a nice touch to leave us a bottle of wine too. Huge villa for 10 people with a jacuzzi, a pool table and a gym. Right in the heart of Athens, literally 5 minutes walking distance from Plaka and Monastiraki. The surrounding area is full of restaurants, cafes, bars and everything you would need during your stay. The villa is enormous and it is located in a beautiful pedestrian street. The property was sparkling clean, the courtyard is amazing and the jacuzzi makes everything feel so luxurious and relaxing. The hosts were super responsive and the transportation they offer with their private shuttle adds luxury and comfort. This was my first time in Ma Maison properties and certainly it will not be the last. The check in process was smooth. Communication was easy and responsive. Everything worked. The kitchen was not super well equipped. No knives for food prep for example. This was a challenge as we had planned a few working meals. What I didn’t like was that the surveillance camera in the courtyard was used to monitor us. When we had guests I received a call from the owner asking who these other people were. And he had counted. I did not know of the requirement to report the coming and going of people. We had received their T’s and C!s only an hour before arrival. Would have been better sent on booking. We ended up having a fifth person (shared a bed) on some nights and on others were down to 3 and 2\. I was asked to pay an additional security deposit and an added thousand euros for the extra person or we would be thrown out. I did not like the aggressive tone of the owner. VRBO did say I had to and that it is at the owner’s discretion. I await my refund on added security deposit. ##### Idonea G. Stayed 3 nights in Oct 2025 ### 10/10 Excellent #### kuitantei 26 Aug 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy Our ferry was delayed so we did not get to the property until night, nonetheless Tolis was there to greet us and was extremely patient to show us round the whole property and explain things to us. The property is on four floors, including a basement and there is a lovely library separate from the main building but connected via the basement. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, which suited our three-generation family of six people well. All the usual amenities such as dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, oven and stoves are at your disposal, there is even a jacuzzi. Parking is available and the street is nice and peaceful but within easy walking distance of the Acropolis and Monastiraki Square.
