We really enjoyed our stay at The Margi and would look to stay again when returning to Greece. Staff were attentive but not intrusive. Pool was clean and pool bar was perfect (wide range of juices and cocktails) and freshly made food available. There were always available sun beds around the pool. We tried the restaurant several times and found it to be high quality and very good value. Breakfast was super - wide range of hot and cold choices. Rooms were well maintained and modern. Balconies were large and had a small comfortable sofa and table for sitting outside in the evening.
There seemed little to do in the immediate area - a couple of nice local restaurants within a 10 minute walk and of course, the coastal views (which are gorgeous) but the hotel was so perfect this did not give us a problem and besides which we wanted to relax. This fantastic hotel certainly met the brief!
This attractive boutique hotel is near to the seafront in the elegant Vouliagmeni area. The staff went out of their way to be of assistance, even arranging for us to have breakfast on the outside terrace rather than the indoor dining room (thank you Theodoris and Eva!). The outdoor pool has an agreeable terrace area overlooking the sea. Parking sometimes difficult, but left the keys with Reception who dealt with the problem.
Lovely hotel. Staff were great (with the notable exception of one poor and surly waiter in the So Oriental restaurant).
The hotel is not very close to a village or town so you either need to be prepared to stay on the resort almost exclusively or hire a car to explore the surrounding area.

Grecotel Cape Sounio is more than a resort-it is an experience. Like the Temple of Poseidon, in plain view from all the …More
Rooms are an average size and clean. Although the walls are particularly thin and we could hear our neighbours having a very good time! Staff are friendly and helpful. Pool area is nice-was very quiet most of the time. Athens itself is not very far but the hotel is an ideal location to relax.
"Nice hotel, just under an hour's drive from Athens"
Taxi driver at Athens airport struggled to find the hotel and asked for directions on a couple of occasions. Hotel is fairly modern and clean. The private beach is right behind the hotel and continually kept clean. As you sun bathe you can request drinks/snacks from the bar staff who are usually walking around. The pool is clean and just in front of the beach. The hotel staff are very welcoming the hotel grounds are lovely. The double room was spacious enough but the balcony was very small with only one chair. Although we did mention this it was never rectified. Breakfast is a relaxed buffet affair and the choice of having champagne each morning was a nice surprise. We only had one evening meal at the hotel and that was in the lovely beach side restaurant - try a shot of the 'Mastiki'. Most evenings we took a 5 minute walk south of the hotel to the small town. Plenty of restaurants there; set back from the main road next to open parks. Great food and very good value for money.
The bus to Athens is hourly and just over 10 euros for two people but it took 80 minutes. We went into Athens twice, the second time was to get back to the airport and hire a car for the last 4 days. This meant we could get across to Corinth and the wonderful Nafplio and see more of the Attica region; such as Poseidon's temple at Sounio. The temple is a popular place to see the sunset.
Good hotel near beach & shopping area with nice staff good breakfast ... But
Air condition in the room was not good with a very loud voice
No free wifi
No electric plugs in the bathroom also beside the bed
Although best known for its historical and archaeological sites, Athens is also blessed with lovely beaches on the Aegean Sea. Travelers can experience majestic views of the water and still remain within convenient reach of the famous historical sites of Athens, such as the Acropolis and the Parthenon. The historic port city of Piraeus is also nearby.
