When staying in Galway we highly recommend this property as a consideration. We stayed 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from Eyre Square, the room was clean and quiet and the bed comfortable. The proprietors were very friendly and only to willing to provide assistance. Breakfast was a choice of an Irish or continental breakfast and was very hearty. This property would always be our first pick for accommodation whenever we return to Galway.

Excellent place to stay! Very clean and convenient but just enough walking distance to avoid all the noise/busy areas. You can easily walk to all the dining and shopping. The owner or manager was so very kind. Truly can’t say enough good things about our stay.

B&B Buyer Beware
Lovely proprietor but far too expensive! The smallest, most spartan and saddest room I’ve ever stayed in. Paper thin walls and hard beds with flat pillows. Tiny en suite bathroom was appreciated but didn’t appreciate listening to other visitors using theirs. Chair at the mini desk was collapsing and tissue box fell off the wall. Breakfast was buffet style but warm and varied.

We had a 4 bed family room for two adults and two teens. The bathroom was very tight and the shower door was broken. The hosts were very nice and personable. Breakfast was hearty and convenient. Location was great for a 10 min into town.

We really enjoyed our two-night stay here. We parked our car and explored on foot for two days instead of trying to park in the center. Galway is safe and fun and very enjoyable, with some great restaurants and cool sites. Take a walk along the lovely canal. Owners Donel and Sean are caring hosts and work hard to keep the place in great condition and offer a nice breakfast buffet for 10 euro. The road in front of the guest house was a bit noisy when we turned in to sleep but soon quieted down. We would happily return here again.

Nice place, could use a little updating: it was unseasonably warm and while the window opened, there was no fan or AC. So, it was a bit uncomfortable sleeping at night. Bathroom was pretty clean, just a bit older. Really nice owners/managers (the twin brothers).

Motel experience at high prices
This is a pretty basic hotel, not justifying the high price. Our room was cramped, with dated furnishings, lumpy mattress, flat pillows and old plumbing. The room was facing the main road and was noisy when windows opened (no AC or fan). The breakfast room was also uncomfortably cramped. The warm breakfast offerings were ok, but fruit and pastries were not ok. The positives were friendly staff, free parking and easy road access (the hotel is about 10 min walk from downtown).

We enjoyed our stay at St. Jude’s so much! It was very last minute and we arrived late but were made to feel very welcome by Donal and Sean. Our room was spotless and had character. A lovely hot meal for breakfast and great recommendations of places to go. They were kind enough to allow us to leave our car after checkout so we could walk around historic Galway. Donal and Sean had a pot of hot tea waiting for us when we returned.

Brothers were incredibly hospitable, friendly, generous and helpful. It was near the coach bus station which helped us catch a tight bus schedule. Within easy walking distance of stores, restaurants and bars.

I had the pleasure of staying at St Jude’s B and B during my trip to Ireland. I had a lovely room which had everything I needed in it. The bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was available at a reasonable cost. It had lots of options, both hot and cold. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. St Jude’s is in a quiet neighborhood only a few minutes walk from downtown. I loved staying here and would definitely return.

Expedia described the property properly, but what wasn’t clear is that there was the possibility of a change of room type. We booked an en-suite double room yet we were placed in a room with not just that double bed but four additional single beds. Our most gracious hosts informed us that this was the only room type remaining. The Lodge has ample parking, is close to the City Centre and offers an excellent breakfast at a very reasonable cost. They also laundered our clothes for a decent price. We can recommend the lodge understanding the layout of some of the guest rooms.

Absolutely quaint and charming BNB. The owners were helpful and courteous. The walls were really thin and when a large rowdy party was making a lot of noise at 2 AM they responded quickly.

Great place
Modern, clean and friendly staff. The room was a good size with plenty of electrical outlets and USB ports. I love having window in the bathroom. Breakfast was very good. Nice variety of items. Good location to town
