We were in J2. Lovely apartment - spacious but cosy with lovely decor. However in comparison the bathroom was very small. Communication at check in was poor as no one seemed to know about what was open or closed anywhere

I liked the fact that we had everything we needed. The only thing I did't like was that we were on the 3rd floor. That walk from the parking lot to our room was brutual.

Great property for couples get-away in the summer.
Nice little condo in a great location in Snowmass. A little dark and dated, but overall a nice, self-contained space. We loved being able to walk to restaurants and shopping. The pool and hot tubs were nice. There are several walking trails around the property where you can get in a good hike and enjoy nature. One day we were fortunate enough to see a black bear on our walk! Would recommend the property.

Found hair on the freshlylaundered sheets Called the office and asked for new bedsheets … found hair again When we moved into the unit from down the street we asked for a porter/help w our bags up to the 3rd floor We were told none was available Oberall dissapointed w the management of the property in such a great ski location

I couldn’t stay here again unless I was on the top floor. I heard EVERYTHING the guests above me were saying and doing, including the bedroom. They woke me up at 2:30 in the morning on the first night and subsequently at 6:30 every morning thereafter; not cool at all!

The studio suite was very nice and the pool and hot tub were an added bonus. Good location that's close to trails and dining. The service team was friendly and responsive. Parking is close and plenty but the hill is a little steep if you have mobility issues. Only drawback is that the sound insulation between units--a few nights I needed ear plugs due to noisy neighbors

So the majority of the staff was great, including the maintenance guy and the morning front desk worker. But I’ll be asking for a refund of our first night. We booked a room with a sofa bed, called twice to confirm it would have a sofa bed, at 11pm I went to go to bed, no the sofa bed was broken with a note on it. I called the office, the gentleman seemed very dismissive, later said he’d send an air mattress, that never came, called back, no one answered. So I slept on the floor. I didn’t pay x dollars a night to sleep on the floor. I told this to th las he next day, she moved us for our second night, but the first night was atrocious.

Our stay was extremely disappointing. When checking in, the office address we were provided was closed and it took a while for us to figure out where we could go to check in. I had called a few days before to confirm that there were two beds (a queen and a sofa bed). After a long exhausting day, when we went to pull the sofa bed out there was a sign saying that it was broken, so my business partner and I both had to share the queen. The hot water never got hot, the blinds kept getting stuck open, and the internet kept cutting out when we were trying to work. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

There were no instructions on where to check in. We walked all over, up and down multiple sets of stairs looking for an office or lobby. There was no mention of no air conditioning. The pull out bed was broken- had a sign on it to not use. Had to request additional sleeping place. They brought an air mattress- didn’t hold air. For two night my son didn’t have a bed to sleep on. That’s not acceptable! Not when I paid for two beds. I would like to have some money refunded.

The condo was oddly configured. The bedroom did not have a door and the bathroom was about as far away from the bedroom as possible. The real complaint was all the construction going on across the street. Loud trucks and workers starting early in the morning. If you stay in the Aspenwood building request a room on an upper level and away from the street.

Beautiful property, the hot tub and pool is steps outside. A tiny kitchen but has everything you need. The beds are not in great shape but still slept well because there is so much great hiking, and fun nearby.

The property smelled like either fried bacon or sausage for the first 24 hours and it was difficult to even stay in the room. It got better after that. Overall, it's an average property but I guess you get what you pay for. Check-in and check-out and everything in between is done by text so that is kind of weird and difficult. I prefer to see people face-to-face and then you can ask questions, etc.

Nice Location - But Pricey
Excellent location close to the slopes. Spacious condo with full kitchen. However, there are many stairs to deal with. Extra charges for parking and resort fees totaled $40+ PER DAY!

This was the worst stay ever. The room smelled like an armpit. We opened all the windows which helped some, but the smell may be in the carpet. The bedroom was so tiny, I had to turn sideways to walk around the bed. The queen bed had a king bedspread folded down on one side. The condo was dated with gold fixtures and shag carpet. The walls and flooring are very thin and the resident above us kept walking back and forth - not sure what they were doing that would require all that walking. Went to the pool and a family was there and when one of them exited the pool, the metal railing became unattached to the cement and came completely off. This condo gave me an icky feeling. The location is great; however, you can hear every conversation of those passing by at all hours of the night. The photos on the website did not match the condo I stayed in. I understand Aspenwood could not show all units; however, the condo I was in was not representative of the photos. The website says daily cleaning, but it is every other day cleaning. Definitely not worth the money. Heard the property was recently bought by Hyatt, so hopefully they will make improvements. The front office did not seem concerned when I told her our stay was just OK. Since when is "OK" a good thing?

We strive to get our owners to do upgrades and while these reviews are helpful, it does seem we missed the mark on a few housekeeping and maintenance items as well. Not good..photos on the internet look great .,,,not our condo. This place is straight from the Golden Girls, Old furnishings, musty smell, everything is painted white and still pricey? Have stayed in Snowmass many times and this place struggles. Check in was slow they were more worried about how and what to pay house keeping than checking in guests. Try harder Aspenwood ...last time for me.

We liked the proximity of the residence from the ski slopes. Half of the elements of the gas stove were not working properly. And I didn't know that we had to pay the parking during each day of our stay.

Unit L4, Not So Hot a Deal
We rented this ski in/out condo for four nights, unit L4 at Aspenwood. It turned out to be just a place to stay, a sub-par experience. Examples include the lighting. There is a hanging light with no switch; you turn it off and on by plugging it in. There is a gas fireplace, but no visible way to turn it on and no hint in the unit manual. Carpet is worn and dated and appears dirty whether it is or not. Task lighting very limited; how hard is it to have a reading light for each side of the bed. Overall the impression is that the owners are definitely not looking for repeat business and basically don't care. The tragedy is that for a couple thousand bucks this unit could be substantially updated - new carpets, new cabinet fronts, some floor lamps, etc. Really a shame that the owners obviously don't care. Other units at Aspenwood may have been updated but L 4 is not one you want to rent.
