Our first stay at Rock Laurel B&B and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Joe and Judy are excellent hosts and it was like we had been friends for years. The food (breakfasts) were also excellent and there was plenty of it. We also enjoyed the experience of having breakfast with the other guests at the B&B. We hope to to there again sometime.

great B&B off the beaten trail

Comfortable mountain retreat outside of Asheville
The owners, the food, the rooms were large and very comfortable. The property is beautiful as well, definitely take a walk around if you have time.

The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The house was situated back in the woods right by a stream. There were all sorts of wonderful spring time smells not the least of which was breakfast which was as good tasting as it was large. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone that asks.

One of the best B&B's we have stayed in.
Location and setting of this B&B is beautiful. Close to the Blue Ridge parkway, to the Biltmore estate, to Asheville and to the Smokey Mountains. Very secluded at the end of a small road. One of the best things about this B&B were the hosts, Joe and Jenny, very hospitable and nice people who took care of us in the morning with an excellent breakfast and at night with a cheese platter and wine. And when we left we got a signed copy of Joe's novel: "My cup runneth over". There is so much more to say but it is better to just stay there and experience their hospitality!

Lovely B&B near Asheville
Judy and Joe were warm and welcoming hosts and made sure we were comfortable throughout our short one-night stay. Their bed and breakfast has all the amenities one would need and is very convenient to Asheville, Biltmore and the Pisgah area. We booked the green room, and it had everything we needed, including a very comfortable king size bed! We had the most delicious breakfast in the morning (the Belgian waffles were heavenly). We plan on staying with them again the next time we are in the area. Highly recommended!

Relaxing visit; felt at home with Judy and Joe
For the price of a decent hotel, you can stay in a relaxing, secluded setting that features a full breakfast and wine (and conversation) in the evening. Hosts Judy and Joe make you feel right at home the minute you step in the front door and are gracious hosts.

Rock Laurel Bed and Breakfast
This was the first time my wife and I stayed at a bed and breakfast. We are both glad we picked this family owned business. It is in a great location in the outskirts of Asheville, not too far from our travel destination. Wonderful hospitality from owners. We will definitely be back in the summer.

Top Notch B & B
Joe and Judy were very welcoming, friendly, and personable. The breakfast was absolutely excellent. The complimentary carafe of wine in the evening was generous. My favorite thing about this B & B was the location next to a mountain stream. Truly a relaxing getaway. We will be back for sure!

Tucked away in the woods, next to a creek.
From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out, Joe and Judy greeted us and treated us like family. They were wonderful. The breakfasts, the hospitality, the room, the gorgeous views, made for one of the best B&B experiences we have ever had. The breakfast will keep you full until way past lunch. If you have to leave early for something, they will pack you a breakfast to go. We will stay here again.

super cute spot- close to the hikinig and waterfalls in the smoky mountains - loved that about it. The hosts are awesome- really nice people. AMAZING breakfast- fresh fruit, eggs, pancakes, OJ, coffee, tea etc... all fresh and homemade :). Room was a little warm bc windows were tough to open but overall nice stay.

Asheville is a great city and the Rock Laurel just added to the fun we had.... Breakfast was out this world. The best stay we have ever had because of the conversations with the owners and the breakfast. For the price it's hard to beat.

So cute!
Joe and Judy were the perfect hosts. We had a wonderful stay and were welcomed with open arms. Joes has interesting life stories, which he is more than willing to share over breakfast. The breakfast was quite delicious. The little babbling brook to the side of the house was so charming. The only thing that we found was the sheets had a couple of stains, and they were happy to change the linens. Overall, I would return and would definitely recommend it to others.

Hosts were a lovely couple. Breakfast was excellent and plenty. Bed was very comfortable. Other facilities were adequate. Not as close to Biltmore as others but not that far away either. Wifi was fast.

Very congenial and interesting hosts, and one of the best breakfasts at a B&B that we ever experienced. Close enough to Asheville to be convenient to all sights, but a break from the City or suburban sprawl. Very highly recommended!

Wonderful Bed & Breakfast in the mountains. Wonderful location: Not far from Asheville and Biltmore. Near the Blue Ridge Parkway and Pisgah Inn. Delightful host and hostess. A great breakfast!!! Ella(?) the guinea hen provided an interesting flavor and a nice wake up call after 7 am. The family atmosphere: hosts, guest, pets provided a welcoming stay. We feel ourselves as among the fortunate who were guests of Rock Laurel B & B.

Our first time in bed and breakfast. Owners very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. We found it to be a little out of the way for our purposes, also, was very disappointed about the cleanliness of the room. It was very dusty and blinds just plain dirty. Bed was comfortable and bath facility good.

Better than a Hotel
We had a wedding to go to, and decided to stay here instead of a hotel...and Im so glad we did! Joe and Judy were very nice and hospitable, making sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The room (with its private bathroom) was relaxing and perfectly charming. Breakfast was AWESOME as was the wonderful conversations we had with Joe, Judy and the other guests. I wish we couldve stayed longer, but at least now we know.....if we are ever back in the Asheville area again, we will definitely be going back to Rock Laurel Bed and Breakfast!!! :)

Owners are very nice people. Entry into home requires refreshing. Smells damp. Carpet needs replacing on staircase. Rooms need dusting, blinds cleaning. Outside area messy. Resident peacock, very loud noise outside of bedroom window at 6am..much too early for wake up call!

Just like being at home - maybe better!
All the comforts of home, wonderful hospitality, good company and a delicious breakfast - we couldn't have asked for more. Tucked away down a side country road, the Rock Laurel B&B was quiet and peaceful. The cool mountain air, the steady burble of the creek and great pillow made for some of the most restful sleep I've had in months. Joe & Judy are the consummate hosts - staying with them is like staying with family.

not your average B&B
My wife and I have stayed at many B&Bs over the years. If you are expecting the typical county inn or remodeled farm house, you will be disappointed. Staying at Rock Laurel was like staying at a relatives house. Joe and Judy. literally, invite you into their home. They make you feel like you have arrived at a familiar place where you have been expected. Joe makes sure you never want for something to drink and Judy's waffles are to die for. We would definitely stay again.

Joe and Judy are awesome! You'll enjoy great, big breakfasts, comfortable rooms and all the hospitality you can ask for. The mountains are beautiful and it's only a short 20 minute drive from Asheville (Biltmore and downtown). I highly recommend staying here.

Rock Laurel is not your typical snooty B&B. The experience is more like being at grandma's house. The rooms are very quiet and private. The beds are incredibly soft and comfortable. The food is outstanding and plenty of it. We had a great visit.

My boyfriend and I had such an incredible stay at Rock Laurel B&B. We were pleasantly surprised at the location - it is only 20 minutes from downtown Asheville, and extremely close to the Blue Ridge Parkway as well! The housekeepers, Judy & Joe, could not have been more accomodating. Even when we arrived an hour early, they welcomed us in with Southern hospitality. The rooms were very comfortable, and the breakfast was overly substantial (we didn't even need lunch that day!) Overall, a lovely stay, and strong recommendation!

Convenient to Land of Waterfalls and Asheville
Judy and Joe were incredible people. They were very polite and welcoming. The Bed and Breakfast was absolutely beautiful! We stayed in the Biltmore Room, which was equipped with a luxurious 4 post king bed, hot tub, stand alone shower and his/hers sinks. We plan on making another trip to the land of waterfalls and will definitely visit again!

The best B&B in America
The Rock Laurel B&B is a real treasure, a find, even for us, experienced world travellers. We were stunned, and overwhelmed by the warmth, and charm of the property and above all, the owners. The comfort of the place was superb, and we cannot say how much we were surprised by the breakfast. Excellent - is too weak a word. We met other nice guests, had an interesting morning with them.
