"A beautiful well positioned city hotel with lovely staff only too pleased to help. Only negative is the street noise, the weekend was worse but I feel there must be a way to block out some of the noise. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice & it was continually replenished. Room was very clean & had everything we needed. Lovely spacious bar with plenty of choice. Such a shame about the noise."

"You can do way better for your money. The energy is ungenerous. Nickels and dimes for everything. Toilet paper is an extra. !?! Not to mention a little gas- lighting thrown in for good measure if you want clean towels on day 3. We had a comfort studio at street level. No natural light. A very bleak space. Do not pick this place. "

"This is a beautiful old world-feeling hotel, very grand and lovely! Staff were friendly and helpful. Concierge very good, gave us excellent dinner recommendations. Rooms were nice, but on the smaller side for such a grand hotel. I bumped up a notch, so we wouldn’t get the smallest room, but it was still pretty small for the price. Location is awesome. Walk to everything, or easily Uber. Nice bar for cocktails, and just relaxing, and piano player from 5-6pm each night. A lovely stay in this hotel."

"Everyone was so nice & helpful. We ate Dinner at the indoor area by the pool and had a great time thanks to the staff. The manager Joseph was so nice and helpful. He recommended and let us taste some new wines that we have never had.. He was very knowledgeable and very nice and helpful with all of our questions..He took time out to show us how to get to certain bars & restaurants at the hotel. And our waiter Roger was very nice:) we met a lady named Amy and she was sweet and explained how to get around at the hotel. We are here for a wedding and it’s our first time to Europe. "Great location within the Lisbon old-town area within walking distance to the Castle. Needed to park the car in underground city parking which was a lot more expensive than I was expecting for the two days."

"A note for travelers is that there is no elevator so you have to lug your suitcase up flights of stairs to get to reception and then to your room! Otherwise the place was great for the price and the staff we very friendly."
