There are refrigerators and microwaves in the rooms so not a problem if staying for more than a few days. Bar also open on the weekends only. It's a cat sanctuary (they have about 16 cats on the property, all outdoor cats) so if you're allergic to cats may not be a good place for you. Close to hiking trails if that's your thing. Closest town about a 30–40-minute drive. Overall, we loved the place even though it would benefit from some upkeep. But at this location, we saw so many more stars through breaks in the clouds that I could no longer recognize familiar constellations without the aid of a star chart. The Milky Way probably would have looked amazing if the clouds had gotten out of our way. There is some sky glow in the direction of Fredericksburg, but other than that, there are no lights to spoil your view. Bring flashlights. You will not be able to navigate in the dark here using light pollution :) If you are used to urban/suburban astronomy, and want somewhere dark to bring your telescope for a few nights, I definitely recommend this place."
