Updated rooms with all the amenities, close to the shopping and dining area in Arromanches as well as the memorial beachhead and new museum. Very easy to work with and very good breakfast.

What a lovely spot to stay! We spent 3 nights in a 2 bedroom unit (2 adult, 2 teens) with a bonus outdoor space. Breakfast was delicious. Very quick walk to the shops and the water front. Don’t forget to book a parking space.

It was an ideal place for visiting the Normandy sites. Right in town, has parking, good breakfast. Comfortable beds even if it’s not fancy.

Well-placed with short walk to centre of Arromanche. Hotel room clean and comfortable and plenty of room. Ground floor rooms available. Good breakfast. Sorry we were only staying one night.

Great spot to stay on our family motorbike trip. Close to restaurants and sights, parking directly overlooked by our room. Lovely hosts and good breakfast.

A superb hotel.
An excellent location being only a couple of minutes walk to the sea front. The couple who run the hotel are ultra helpful and available 24/7. We stayed there for a week as Arowmanches was a perfect location from where to tour the D-Day Beaches etc. Have already recommended to some friends who are thinking of travelling to the D-Day Beaches next year.

Friendly host but both rooms were poor
Hotel is near the beach. Nice breakfast and very friendly host. Rooms are not airconditioned and not ventilated so humidity to high. Shower to small to turn around. Equipment in bathroom not mounted well and outdated . Beds to small and not comfortable and matras and deck felt wet.

This is a little gem of a hotel located minutes walk away from the beach and center of town. The breakfast which was included in my price was surprisingly good. If it wasn’t included in the price, I wouldn’t have minded paying the 12.50 Euros they were charging. There is laundry service not self service though. We paid 10 Euros to have them do a load of our dirty laundry. The room definitely needs upgrading and if they did upgrade, they would definitely be justified charging so much more because of the location. I would definitely stay here again if I were to return.

Perfect location for exploring the d day sites. Arromanches is a lovely little sea side town. The staff was very pleasant but their English was very limited. We had trouble figuring out the shower controls, very European I guess. Breakfast was delicious and served in a bright, cheery room.

Lovely receptionist very helpful . Room very comfortable took our dog which we paid a supplement for , but nothing was any problem . Breakfast also extra but a very nice way to start the day.

Lovely spacious room, only down side was that if could quite noisy during the day until early evening. The luxury double room was above the hotels kitchen and laundry. Also looked out onto busy road.

We arrived after dark and had a hard time finding the hotel. The street signs refer to Hotel Mountbatten but on the front window of the hotel it says Ideal in oddly placed letters which is very misleading. The owner wasn't there when we arrived but left the keys on the door and I was able o talk to her about this the next morning but she was clearly unsympathetic which I think is unfortunate because our room itself was excellent - the best room in any of the places we stayed in during our visit to France.

Nice hotel, 2 min walk to beach and D Day museum
Very clean, great location for D Day history and 10 min car journey to see the Bayeux tapestry. Stroll to the beach and a choice of restaurants. There’s a hotel car park, but it does have a height restriction. We have an x5 with bikes on the roof and couldn’t get under. But there’s a free car park literally opposite. In my opinion I would say this is more of a motel rather than a hotel... and reception is not open 24 hours. We booked a 2 bed suite. It’s been great. Super clean, lovely bathroom and bedrooms etc. I would definitely recommend this place and would definitely come back if we were passing through again.

Lovely break
Fantastic stay in Arromaches with handily positioned and very clean hotel as base. Easily able to access all Normandy landing sites from this central spot. Friendly hosts and overall highly recommended.

Very nice Hotel, in the center of the village. Several good restaurants, a few hundreds yards from the beach. Rooms are nice, regular european size so not huge ( same for the shower). Main piece of equipment lacking for US customers: A/C so you must keep the window open eventually. Very quite: no door or neighbor noises in the middle of the night.

High Hidden Fees & Missing Amenities
I will first start out by saying this hotel is in an amazing location, which is why there are a lot of hidden fees. I say hidden because the breakdown of the total cost was very odd. My nightly rate was $143.47, which did not include $38.93 in other service fees. My total was $182.40 excluding the 3.30 Euros in city tax that is normal. My rate included breakfast yet when I checked in, the front desk clerk said my rate didn't include it even after she "looked up" my reservation. The # 1 reason we selected the hotel was, because under main amenities they had "Self-Service Laundry" listed. My wife was happy, because we could wash our 14-month old's clothes midway through our road trip. I looked all over the property and there was not a laundry. The next morning the owner said the machines were in the garage. He directed me to bring my clothes down and he would do my 2 loads. Upon checkout, I saw a charge of 24 Euros in laundry fees. I told the lady at the desk I refused to pay that as Hotels.com listed "Self-Service Laundry as a main amenity. She said that was a mistake and it was not her fault how it was listed. After having me wait for almost an hour while on the phone she took the charges off. That same morning, I showed the owner that my reservation included breakfast and again there was conversation on the phone. This hotel is great for its location and they helped us with freezing & heating my son’s food, but when it came to money their attitude completely changed.

I was very surprised to find 2 sets of ear plugs in the room, on my first night I found out why they were there. This is the noisiest room I have ever stayed in, every noise from other rooms could be heard and loudly! When the room was cleaned the next morning the cake of soap was still on the floor of the shower when I returned. WiFi was very fragile.
