"I booked this place and asked for an earlier check-in once when was notified that the time to check-in was 4 pm (on Expedia this information is revealed after you pay). The host could not accommodate that, which I understood. The host offered to let me drop my bags off early, which was not a solution to why I needed to check in early. I immediately told the host that I needed to cancel since that would not work for me. The host ignored my request and ignored follow up messages. I understand that there was no obligation to allow me to check in early, however, once I immediately told the host that I had to cancel, he stopped responding and kept my money. Keeping someone's money when you know that I did the right thing and did not receive the service is unethical. These types of people should not be in the business."
