From the moment you are greeted at the entrance you can feel the tradition and beauty of the place. The staff are very attentive and service is impeccable. The bath provides options for regular or hot springs.
This hotel is clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. I appreciate that the hotel sent me an email few days before my arrival. The email provided me with info. My room is spacious. The rooms for hot spring bath are very roomy. The hotel has connection with another hot spring bath venue which is not far away. This venue is also very nice.
Really nice, well-priced ryokan with spacious rooms and very polite staff. Very good set of onsen / public bath facilities and authentic traditional Japanese breakfast experience. Some may find the lack of wifi access in the rooms to be a problem, but not us - our objective was to get away from it all anyway!
"Traditional Japanese Hotel at a popular Hot Spring"
This was our first time at a Ryokan and an Onsen. We arrived at Shin-Kobe station and took the subway to Tanigami, changed there for a train to Arimaguchi, then changed again for a train which shuttles between Arimaguchi and Arima Onsen. The transfer from Shin-Kobe was accomplished with a single ticket for ¥720.
The 12 tatami mat Japanese style room was used for breakfast, dinner and sleeping. We had a maid which served our meals and reconfigured the room as required for eating or sleeping. The same maid looked after us for the entire duration of our stay.
