It was a very nice place to stay. If we’d been there longer than one night I would have asked for a room with a better view. Our only view were several large air handlers a few feet from our windows, along with a brick wall.

Spent the night so we could watch a comedy show, me and my partner for the most part walked everywhere we went comedy show, coffee shop, art museum. Still weird to charge for the treats separately but all in all very nice stay.

Well located property. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice rooms. Breakfast box option is great since no breakfast service. Coffee turns on lobby. Comfortable place to stay.

This hotel was wonderful - great location, incredibly nice staff at the front desk, and delicious restaurant (Rye) downstairs. Our only complaint is about the room directly above us because they paced back and forth and sounded like they were moving furniture until 3am but that's not the hotel's fault! Parking garage is directly behind the hotel and easy to access. Rooms were clean and the mini bar had a great selection! We will definitely book again.

It's the best hotel in Appleton. Always stay there when I'm in town. And their restaurant, Rye, is worth a trip to Appleton all on its own!

I expected more for what I paid.. opened the blinds and dust flew everywhere.the jetted tub handle fell off when I turned the water on.. I was able to fix that. Jetted tub did not work.. maintenance and front desk staff were great and fixed in in 30 min or less.. the shower although the water was hot had no water pressure. The room temp was either to hot or to cold so had to adjust the temperature multiple times. The heating vent had constant cold air coming out regardless of the temperature. USB ports on the night stand did not work.. like I said expected more or better for what we paid. I can't say enough about the staff, they were great!!!

The hotel was beautiful, and the staff were very friendly. The spa was out dated, and mediocre. Our toilet had a sewer smell every time we flushed. It was very off putting.

To start with the front desk couldn't have been more helpful with information of the area, directions or been more friendly. The guest room was clean, well furnished and comfortable. The restaurant associated with the hotel, Rye, has a comfy bar, some of the best beef I've had in my 12 years of living in Wisconsin, great wine list along with great service. I cannot say enough about our experience. I look forward to another visit to Appleton to enjoy this find again.

Rude staff who was not accomodating because apparentally if you use Expedia you are the scum of the earth and your reservation doesn't matter. Was extremely rude and racist to the customer service agent. Place gave me the ickkk....would not want to stay somewhere where thats how you treat your customers. Will be spreadign the word about rude front desk woman-seems to be a trend for her.

Thank you for taking a moment to review our hotel, it is greatly appreciated. It was unfortunate that your flight was cancelled. I did take a look at your reservation personally and noticed you did reserve through another party and not with the hotel directly. Unfortunately, when someone reserves their guestroom through another party than the hotel directly, they need to contact the party whom they reserved the room through and not the hotel directly. I saw notes on your reservation from the receptionist who took your call confirming this. I completely understand your frustration with the hotel not being able to change/cancel your reservation.

Great place to get away for a weekend. The suites were nice but you can only access the bathroom though the bedroom. So if you have someone sleeping on the pullout in the other room, they will be entering the bedroom to get to the bathroom. That was the only negative. Love the place.

Good looking, but a hard pass
Overall, the this hotel looks good and seems like a central place to stay, however, too many mistakes checking in, the room is dark, and the air flow is not very good. When I checked in, I was assigned a room and given the key cards but they didn’t work. After going back down and getting new cards, one card didn’t work but luckily the other card did. When I got in the room, it smelled like sulfur and there was no air flow. I had to turn the HVAC on high to get some air flowing. I was only in the room for 15 minutes and had to get to leave and hope it would be OK in a few hours. After I came back the smell had gone but the room was even darker - turning all lights was helpful but wasn’t very efficient. The TVs are excessively high my neck was feeling strained. The bedroom area has little to no airflow. I was sleeping in the living area and then some pranksters were running down the hallway and knocking on doors - super annoying. Also, this hotel doesn’t have breakfast options so you’ll have to leave the hotel to get food. Checkout was a bit odd, I was asked if I wanted a printed or email receipt and I said yes, but was told that I booked through an app and the receipt will be in the app. Another person was given a receipt via email, and they booked through the same app I did. Lastly, parking is a dirty structure behind the hotel (not connected), and is $6. Wouldn’t stay here again.
