"prime location, easy access "
the location could not get any better or convenient. From the George Best airport, take the 600 bus to Europa city centre bus station (3 pound 80 pence round trip). once you get off at the bus station, just walk across the street and around the corner from the crown bar hotel and you will see it. just 2 blocks from City Hall and easy access to all other areas of central Belfast. The staff here are lovely. Everyone I encountered at the front desk were friendly and cheerful and greeted you with a smile. The elevators were fast and efficient. The room was a good size for a European hotel. The hallways smelled fresh. The hallways are well-lit and are energy efficient motion-sensored. Housekeeping friendly and did a great job(special kudos to Diana, my housekeeping staff assigned to my room during the week). The restaurant Acton & Sons just outside the door serves great meals(ate there twice for lunch and dinner but they also serve breakfast). Rooms were clean, bright(I was street side), stocked daily with coffee/tea, and fresh towels. Towels are big and hand towels also. No washclothes, as in many European budget hotels. There is a little walkthrough, bicycle motorbike parking station right outside that is clean, well-lit, and if you are a smoker, is a good place to have a smoke. For a budget hotel, they do a great job.If you want bells and whistles, look elsewhere. completely satisfied my needs.

"Fantastic hotel in a great location"
The Malmaison is ideally located for getting around Belfast, its pretty much on the bus route from the airport, so getting to and from there is easy. They shopping zone is just around the corner from the hotel and is very easy to get around. There are so many food choices in the local area as well, youll be hard pressed to decide on what you want. All in all, it was a great stay at the Malmasion, and the staff really were helpful and friendly.

Apartment was in a great location to explore Belfast by foot. The apartment was very nice but there were one or two minor complaints. The first man that we spoke to could not have been more helpful but the second seemed very unsure on how to rectify the problems.

Pocket Guide: Golf Hotels in Antrim

Antrim is a bustling market town which sits 18 miles to the west of Belfast city centre. Despite being this close to the excitement of the capital city, it also nestles in the rural splendour of County Antrim, surrounded by hills, mountains and lakes. It is this variety and contrast which helps to draw visitors to Antrim from all over the world.

Guests staying in an Antrim hotel could, if they wish, enjoy a pleasant stay simply strolling around the historical streets of the town centre, exploring spots such as the reputedly haunted Antrim Castle gardens and the splendour of the Old Courthouse.

    Accommodation in Antrim

The accommodation on offer in Antrim has evolved to meet the needs of the eclectic range of people who choose to visit the area. From backpacker hostels to country house lodges, it will be possible to find exactly what you need when you come to visit.

For some this will mean a guesthouse on the outskirts of town, within easy reach of the thriving nightlife of Belfast, while for others it will be a luxury room close to the spectacular shore of Lough Neagh. What many people visiting Antrim will be seeking, however, is a room in an establishment within easy reach of the many golf courses in the area.

    Golf in Antrim

Ireland is famous around the world for the number, variety and excellence of its golf courses, and many people will travel to Antrim intending nothing more than a weekend, week or longer pitting their wits against the golfing challenges on offer.

The type of hotel these golf enthusiasts require will depend upon their preferences. Some may need little more than a room offering bed and breakfast within easy reach of the nearest fairway, others might want an on-course spa hotel to combine some pampering with their golfing. No matter what they need, golfers staying in Antrim will be a short trip away from a selection of first-rate courses.

    Courses Near Antrim

There are several golf courses within easy reach of Antrim town centre, and even more just a short drive away. Book a hotel, guesthouse or bed and breakfast in Antrim and the average golfer will be spoilt for choice.

Allen Park Golf Club is an 18 hole, par 72 parkland course located on the A6 Castle Road, just outside Antrim town centre. Among its challenges are several manmade lakes, and facilities include a driving range and practice green.

Ballyearl Arts and Leisure Centre is the ideal place to visit if you’re new to playing golf or just want to give it a try. Located on Doagh Road in Newtownabbey, it’s a nine-hole public course which requires no membership or pre-booking. As well as the course itself, facilities include 27 floodlit driving bays and the presence of a professional offering advice and tuition.

Just outside the centre of Antrim, on the shores of Lough Neagh, you’ll find the Massereene Golf Club, an 18 hole, 6,603 yard course which offers stunning views over the water of the lake.

No matter what kind of golfing experience you enjoy, a hotel in the centre of Antrim will put you within easy reach of a variety of courses, each offering a different challenge and unique experience of the Irish countryside.
