Terrific Resort

Posted 11-Sep-2016
Outstanding experience. My wife and I don't require a whole lot of attention, but the staff was very accommodating in making requests happen when we did ask for something. Beach was awesome. Didn't really like being solicited for activities from non-resort people. However, it is a public beach. The views are amazing. Drinks and food were better than expected. We were bummed that Sheer Rocks restaurant was closed for maintenance during our stay, but it isn't part of Cocobay. My recommendation would to take insect repellent (mosquitos) and extra sunscreen. Overall, I would recommend this resort and we will return.

Great Beaches and resort

Posted 01-Sep-2016
Pros: Everything, would go back tomorrow, its a nice romantic secluded resort with a variety of water sports.
Cons: Only one beer on tap and its light, gassy with little flavor, would like at least some choice.
Location: Three beaches, and Jolly harbor is a 7 min taxi ride
Lovely Bay one of the best! Rooms were really nice with decks that were secluded and most having bay views. Food was very good, buffet breakfast and lunch with ala carte menu for evening. The staff were excellent and personable, nice pools with three beaches available. The beach at the resort has a reef that you can snorkel around! The evening menu was very good with choice however it also had a few exotic dishes that if you wanted them you had to pay extra for. (not totally inclusive) :-(

Romantic hotel with breathtaking views

Posted 29-Jul-2016
We just got back from our trip to CocoBay. It was the perfect vacation. If you want relaxing breathtaking views and the best sleep ever then you must stay here. The staff is very accommodating, very hospitable. Would highly recommend this resort you won't want to leave!

Perfect place to relax

Posted 26-Jul-2016
The Coco Bay Resort is every bit as beautiful as the photos on their website. The rooms are clean and we really enjoyed the infinity pool on our deck. Privacy if you want it and common areas to mingle with others is also an option. The majority of the staff was courteous, friendly and extremely helpful - we had a couple of grumpy waitresses at breakfast (it was early and maybe they hadn't had their coffee yet) but the beautiful view made up for it. We had a Deluxe Ocean View room and the special touches were so surprising. Champaign in our room when we arrived - candles and flower pedals in our room when we returned from dinner our last night . I would certainly recommend this resort.

Nice but relatively disappointing

Posted 13-Apr-2016 on Hotels
Not a 4.5 rating. The rooms were clean but small with ant problems, not a few, hundreds. They did upgrade our room on the last night though after complaining twice. Breakfast and lunch was limited and only okay. Dinner was better but not great. Service varied. The pool was clean but the cabanas did not have shade and a few smelled like rotten. The snack bar often ran out before close. They also ran out of towels on multiple occasions. The hotel’s beach is nice but public so if you booked this resort because it states adults only that does not mean that your time on the beach will not include children. Also the hotel recommended a day boat tour that was the worst boat tour I have ever been on. Over crowded with lots of children, and the only drinks were warm beer and rum punch. I was surprised this tour was promoted out of a "4.5" star hotel. Certainly not worth the money at over $110 per person. Additionally there was an annual beach party on a nearby beach with music blasting until 4-5 am. The hotel warned us the day before and could only offer ear plugs. The listing for this hotel on hotels.com stated free wifi in the room and room darkening curtains. None of these were true. Wifi had a daily charge of $8.
