This converted convent is a beautiful hotel in a lovely rural location. Sadly we were only there for one night and did not arrive until late, so could not fully avail ourselves of all the facilities. We loved the character of this historic building which really had a lovely feel.

Quirky, wee hotel, but right in the town centre and excellent value for money. Hotel has free wifi and free use of internet on computers on every floor (if you don't want to be weighed down by your gadgets!!) The staff are very helpful and pleasant. The hotel also has aircon - essential for a hot Antequera summer!

Our family of four stayed for one night and the location - 5 mins from both train and bus stations - was perfect.
If coming from Malaga, get the bus from.Stop 33 at main bus station, next door to Malaga MZ train station. Fare around 8 Euros and pay the driver. Only a few buses each day - inc one at 1315.
Trains from Seville, etc, to Antequera C station. Don't go to St Anna station which is miles away.
We only saw a little of the town, but it's nice to poke around. The walk up the steps for the view from the castle is well worth the effort.
Hotel was fine for us. Beds not brilliant and few fancy touches, but it was solid and unpretentious like the town itself. Not bad at all.

Spanish addresses are slightly difficult to fathom and the hotel didn't register on our sat nav but we found it with not too much difficulty. Our room overlooked a small garden and the carpark and function area. There was a wedding taking place in an adjacent marquee but we were not disturbed by any late night noise. The room was comfortable and with decent facilities. We thought the dinner was pretty mediocre but overall the hotel was reasonable value.

Some 40 kilometres north of Malaga, Antequera is a quiet town rich in architectural monuments dating back to the 16th century. Among its abundance of churches don’t miss Nuestra Señora del Carmen. Worth a visit too are the Palacio de Nájera, the 19th-century bullring, and a collection of massive dolmens just outside town. Near Antequera the Garganta del Chorro is a spectacular 180-metre deep gorge. Walkways offer vertiginous views.
