Comfortable room with good dinners at restaurant

Posted 07-Oct-2016 on Hotels
We ended up staying 3 nights instead of the two we booked due to an attraction being closed the first two days we were in Digby. Room very comfortable with a view of the water. Area very quiet. Excellent restaurant. Very friendly service and two of the best dinners we had in all of Nova Scotia. Both the Digby scallops and lobster were excellent and well priced. Breakfast, although not bad, was pricey. IE: Breakfast sandwich $6.99, full breakfast $8.99, bowl of cereal $4.99 plus beverages. They also had a small laundromat which came in handy as we were more than 1/2 way through our 10 day trip.

Fabulous view and near the ferry

Posted 06-Oct-2016 on Hotels
We used the Admiral Digby as a base camp for exploring the Digby Neck, and then as the jumping-off point for the ferry to St. John NB. The room was clean and everything worked. And then, the view from the window was to die for! Such a panorama of the Annapolis Basin! An asset to the place is the onsite restaurant. The food was excellent, and over two days we formed a friendly relationship with their very capable food servers. Incidentally, there is a small discount on breakfast for hotel clients. Another asset is the onsite laundromat. We were on a very long trip and needed one! Overall this is a fine place to stay in Digby.

Pros: Price, clean, quaint
Cons: Extra blankets in room
Location: Right on the water in small town on way to ferry. But we travelled south to area with balancing rock, many s entice views and bays. Terrific drive.
This was a last minute booking and we were happy with accommodation. It is an older seasonal motel. But staff were very good, room was basic and clean. Though restaurant closes at 8 p, they were able to fix bowls of chowder for us to eat in room. We would stay again.

Perfect for Travellers using ferry.

Posted 02-Oct-2016 on Hotels
A nice little surprise at end of hours of driving. Expected a plain little place and only a view of a valley. Handy deck at front of motel for water and sunrise viewing. Rooms are somewhat dated but clean & comfortable, very spacious, and have a picture window onto the Bay of Fundy inlet. Second floor accessible at ground level due to slope of property. The great restaurant attached is a huge bonus - especially due to the great scallops!

Great place to stay

We had a very good stay. While the motel is a bit old it is in very good repair. The restaurant is superb. The serving staff is first rate and the view of the harbour while dinning can't be beat.

Nice ocean veiw

Posted 24-Sep-2016
Pros: Ocean view
Cons: Hot water in the shower.
Most of the staff were absolutely wonderful with the welcoming attitude. One staff member however did not give that impression named Michelle as we were not told about reservations as being needed in the dining room on our first night. We arrived to see a half empty dining room and when asked if we had reservations, and we said no, she scowled and we did not feel welcome. We were seated and during the meal many tables were still vacant when we left. Other wait staff were wonderful.

Nice hotel close to ferry

We loved the location. View of the Bay and just a stones throw to the ferry. Also a short drive to the restaurants. Hotel is a little dated but the price and location was right for us.
