Among Europe’s lesser-known jewels, the tiny nation of Andorra has pleasant surprises. Packed with medieval huts on the slopes of the Pyrenees, the country offers a culture apart from its French and Spanish neighbors. Take advantage of the affordable prices in shops and restaurants in this non-European Union nation.
Get an insight into the country’s customs and traditions with a stay in the capital of Andorra la Vella. The city has the charm of a mountain valley village combined with modern promenades and shopping centers that match those of any European metropolis. Embrace the medieval atmosphere with a trip to the 16th-century Casa de la Vall. Learn the history of this noble structure, which until recently hosted the General Council of Andorra.
Stroll through the rest of the city’s Old Town section and marvel at the enchanting architecture. A little to the southwest of this district is one of the country’s oldest religious buildings, the 10th-century Santa Coloma Church.
Make your way to Valls del Comapedrosa Nature Park in the Pyrenees Mountains and enjoy the fresh air. The warm summers create ideal family trekking and picnic conditions. Gaze up at the country’s highest peak, the Pic de Coma Pedrosa. Embark on a guided walk through glacial valleys and past lakes in this scenic area. Stay at the multi-person mountain huts that are typical of Andorran culture.
Winters are cold and snowy in the higher elevations of the Pyrenees. Arrange a stay in the vast Grandvalira ski resort, which contains more than 130 miles (210 kilometers) of ski slopes and trails. Visit additional ski resorts, such as Soldeu or Pas de la Casa, and enjoy the mountain scenery as you make many runs down the slopes.
Drive to Andorra from nearby cities, such as Toulouse, France, and Barcelona, Spain, in less than 3 hours. No flights go to Andorra, although it is near a small airport in Lleida, Spain. Andorra is a microstate with spectacular mountainous terrain and a charming capital.

Location! Pedestrian walking area. Parking (Parking Saba Cèntric, -2 floor has an elevator which takes you up to the hotel reception).
Transportation is convenient to the hotel and it’s walkable to restaurants and sightseeing. Hotel is well located and safe, it is slightly outside of the tourist areas. Hotel is clean , but it’s kind of old fashion.
Very comfortable location in the heart of Andorra La Vella. Parking is tricky to get to, so if you're driving make sure to get directions on how to get to the garage before you come to Andorra
