This was the last day of the property as HOTEL. So instead of FABULOUS breakfast, there was only bagel. Complaining to the staff did not help because this was their last day of employment. I wish Expedia would not book guest to the last operating day of a hotel.

We had so looked forward to our stay at the Inlet Tower Hotel and Suites, especially after seeing the photos of the Hotel and rooms, as well as positive reviews. Well, needless to say, we were disappointed. On check-in we were told that the wifi was not working (something we needed as we were taking tours and traveling further). The lobby was dreary and dark. Then we got to our room. Although it was spacious and the bed was somewhat comfortable, the room was in dyer need of refurbishing. The carpeting was frayed and torn in places. The bathroom linoleum was old and sticky. Our second day there we learned that the reason for the dyer state was that the hotel had been sold and was closing in 4 days (September 15th) and being converted into condominiums. We feel that for the high price we were charged for the room, there should be some compensation from Hotels.com.

I never write hotel reviews, however this hotel was so disappointing I feel like I need to. I’ll start with the pros: free shuttle from the airport and to train, ice cold lemon water at the front desk. Now for the cons: the whole room felt dirty when we walked in, it was so hot and the AC did not work (literally would not turn on), there was a pile of black hair on the bathroom floor (I’m blonde), there was a cap of some kind left in the shower so I know it was not cleaned, there was a gross stain on the carpet and the bed was really lumpy. Also, there is no option for an early breakfast if you have to leave before breakfast starts. I’m honestly not a picky person and all we needed was a clean place to sleep for the night…it wasn’t clean and we didn’t sleep.

The view from the room was wonderful. The room itself was decent. But there was some construction happening in the room next to mine that started early in the morning and went into the early night, so noise was an issue. Also there was a piece of metal that poked out of the box mattress that I hit my ankle on twice. Staff was friendly and courteous. Bed was comfortable.Theyi offered shuttle service to and from the airport a big plus, even with a late flight. They also have a holding area for your luggage for late departure flights; that gives you a chance to get in some last minute sight seeing. would stay there again.

VERY NICE BED & PILLOWS/BREAKFAST VERYGOOD!!
The bed and pillows are excellent. Very clean and comfortable. The hotel is older, but everything we needed was there. Slept well, had a very nice complimentary breakfast.

Absolutely terrible. The front desk billed my card to someone else’s room, the carpet in our room was wet, there was an overpowering smell in our room that was trying to mask a bad smell, the mattresses were old and very soft and uncomfortable.

The property did not live up to the advertisement. The room had roaches and smelled of pesticide. The furniture and carpet were old and worn. The carpet looked very dirty. The shower was only warm, but not hot. Overall the property had not been well maintained. I left after the first night of a planned 7 night stay, and checked in to a more upscale lodging.

Great location.
Very nice hotel. Many new updates to the rooms. My room had nice kitchen area with microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker and table. Bed was comfortable and clean. Nice restaurant and bar and also bar outdoors. Igloos you can reserve for outdoor dining/lounge.

There is a weird smell as we enter the rooms. The place is very shabby and the AC gives a weird smell when you turn it on. Also surprised for a place like Alaska, they disable heater system with the excuse “It’s summer.” The floor near the toilet is uneven and we feel like there is a structural issue with the floor. Would be good to get a refund from Expedia for this stay being a loyal member.

The fan leaked water when other rooms used their water, leaving a puddle in our bathroom. Hair in the shower that was left from someone else. Told the front desk abt it, and all they said was it’s under new management and they’ll be shutting down soon to fix the issues. I said the hair isn’t a maintenance issue, it’s a cleanliness issue and the guy just repeated himself again. Cancelling my next stay, which is already booked.

We lasted all of 30 minutes then left. The industrial chemical smell did not mask the mold. We couldn't breathe. Internet was terrible, so it took us 30 minutes to book somewhere else. The rooms were very overpriced. Did not feel safe, as the door didn't lock well. Room was also dirty

The location is not bad, but the cleanliness is so terrible. The floor is very greasy, felt sticky when walking on it. The bathroom smells like urine…….The Wi-Fi signal is so poor, most of time cannot be found.

Location was good. Appreciated the shuttle service. Restaurant food was good. Had difficulty with the shower, the instructions for operating the somewhat outdated faucet to operate the shower were tucked under the bathroom mirror in such a manner that it was unclear that the instructions were for the shower. These instruction should be more prominently displayed. The bathtub stopper was not working and to drain the tub you had to hold up the lever until drained. The lamp on the nightstand was not working.

Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were able to check in earlier than regular check-in. Hotel was ok, seemed dated but the beds were very comfortable. Slept great. Quiet area. Only thing I did notice were a few dead flies around window sill. Dined at the pub house in the outdoor igloos which was nice.

Very corky!! Great price and location!
It’s a very nice hotel for Anchorage. It’s super old built in the 50s with very little upgrades however it has a nice restaurant attached and a super outdoor area. They have an airport shuttle and the room was fine it was sufficient and the price was perfect I would probably stay here again just because it’s so corky. FYI Super market across the street.
