Lovely hotel with excellent staff couldn't fault it. My only criticism was the dress code in the evening was not inforced and people were allowed into the restaurants wearing unacceptable clothing

It felt like the set of a Bond movie

Posted 08-Jun-2016
Pros: I didn't like ouch about my hotel stay. It isn't for an American who is looking for a "unique" or "quaint" property.
Cons: The food quality, the drink quality, free wifi everywhere, and better parking would be a start.
Location: Far from anywhere, the only thing to do is be are the resort.
This place was like being on the set of some strange Bond film. The scene: excessively gaudy furnishings and a staff that has Russian accents who are checking you in in a oddly robotic way. Guests are milling around with all kinds of accents and manner of dress. The rooms themselves were nice, but the beds are true European and have limited privacy from kids in the next room. The pools were overcrowded and also strangely quiet. The beach has coarse sand. The food is cruise ship quality. Lots of it and mostly bland and non-threatening. There are small restaurants in addition to the dining room but you need to make reservations early each morning to get in. The one exception is the sushi restaurant that delivers a product worse than the stuff available in my local grocery store. You pay for wifi unless sitting in the bar.

Excellent location

We stayed at Laguna for 4 nights. We were very lucky and got one of the quieter ends sea view room. Most of the rooms are sea view ones I think. Welcome drink, nice very hard working staff, all inclusive even the minibar in the room which is topped up regularly, reasonably clean rooms, wide variety of food, 5 different restaurants (which do get filled up with reservations quite quickly and a tad small but great food) an excellent crepe place, quite a few pools with one of them quite big and has spots that can be very quiet and peaceful away from the crowd, one pool with slides for children, beach that is at a stone's throw- really an excellent hotel and we were very pleased with our stay. Extra nice points - we are vegetarians and hence struggle with choice of food wherever we go but one of the chefs Dimitrios who managed the smaller restaurants made the extra effort to give us a variety of food- special thanks to him and we hope the hotel management passes this message to him. Things that could be better - this is our first all inclusive holiday so the bar might be set a bit low for us. But not much to say about things that can be improved. The rooms and the bathrooms are cleaned regularly but are not 'shiny' clean for a 5 star resort. The cleanliness is more like 3 to 4 star. Everything else 4-5 star!

Exceptional

We loved the Laguna. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the facilities on site were extensive and outer room was very comfortable and gave us a lovely sea view. The food from the buffet restaurant was always very varied and well cooked. The only slight criticism was that at times it could have been maintained warmer. The whole resort and spa is modern, built to a high specification and was spotlessly clean. We were very impressed and would love to go back.

Fantastic from start to finish

Posted 12-Apr-2016
Pros: Everything.
Location: Literally on the beach, handy location for walks and hiring a car to explore.
From the moment we arrived we were treated with a level of kindness and professionalism that you would expect from a 5 star resort - which this resort very much is. They were efficient, friendly, helpful and incredibly generous in the food and beverages. We would highly recommend and look forward to staying again.

Fabulous 5star hotel

Posted 12-Apr-2016 on Hotels
Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for a week in early April. From the moment we arrived we loved the place. It was so beautiful and the staff were so kind and could not do enough for you. The 5 restaurants were all fabulous and we got to try all of them. If you cant get a booking, not to worry as the buffet restaurant is equally as nice. The pools and spa was gorgeous too! We honestly don't have one bad word to say about the place. It was also only 7€ in a taxi to hersonniss so if you are looking for night clubs you are not far away either.
