Very good experience at the hotel - polite staff, clean and spacious rooms, great breakfast. It is close to the Museum district but a little bit far from the rest of the action. If you're happy with walking about 15-20 minutes to get into town then this is perfect.
To begin your city break in Amsterdam and finding yourself in the Bilderberg Garden, Executive Room is just perfect. Welcomed by staff who make you feel they are there for you is warming. All aspects of the hotel are relaxed, the reception, cosy bar with its comfy modern chairs, buffet breakfast area which transform into an intimate candle lit restaurant. The communal areas are superb. The complimentary mini bar, teas and coffee welcome you to your Executive Room. The room furnishings, jacuzzi bath and warm bed is just what a relaxing break should present.
Within walking distance or tram ride youll find a city of openness and warmth. The liberal mined people welcome you with open arms, embracing your own culture whilst sharing theirs. what does this mean? Amsterdam has an history of the arts which stems centuries. Rembrandt stands tall looking with artistic pride in one of the many little squares, surrounded by the winter warming stalls selling hot chocolate, coffee and beautiful light, fluffy waffles.Vincent Van Goff, vibrancy and colour ripple through the streets with it array of nations. The museum quarter and galleries host the Netherlands history and is well worth a visit. Unwind along the gentle flowing canal or commute using the bustling, frequent tram into Dam Square a must see especially now leading up to Christmas. The lights tingle like diamonds from the palace and the enticing department stores and hotels inviting you to take a peek. Enjoy
We had a very pleasant stay at the Adelphi Hotel. We were given the quiet room we asked for overlooking the garden and away from the traffic noise. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and although there were no tea making facilities on our room the free tea, coffee and cake available in the bar 24/7 was a very nice touch. Our only small gripe was that our request to replace a light bulb that was not working in the main light was not attended to which made the lighting rather poor.
Spacious, clean room. Nice big bathroom. Friendly staff. Location was quiet as far as street noise goes. It was a little far away from things, but the tram stop was very close so we just rode it everywhere! My only gripe is that people were so loud when they came in at night and left in the morning. I didn't know there were so many doors to slam, but they slammed them all.

Xaviera's is a bit left of centre. Do your research as It is not for everyone. Eclectic and a tad cluttered. Remember you are staying in somebody's home, complete with pets. Hosts are very welcoming and we loved our stay. Sorry our stay was short and we crammed in so much as we did not get to lounge about and interact more with Xaviera and Phillipe. They gave us some great tips for dining and getting about. We would stay there again.
