Maybe after the renovations...

Posted 07-Jun-2017
CONS: They are the mid renovations...never saw this info mentioned on the site when I made my reservations. Pay attention to the no air con. It was very hot in the room If the day was hot. Currently....you can hear the airplanes, people walking to there rooms very heavily. I think the floors are wooden. You have to walk through the outside elements if your room is connected to the side portion of the building renovations. Even getting wet some. You hear the mat they tried to put up for construction blowing in the wind like a train wreck or hurricane!!! (I'm from Florida so I know) No chance of sleeping in cause they start construction before 8am and you hear every of it. Carpet is very stained and old. PROS: Great food in the resturant! Beers as well and they all have great attitudes. The staff fixed a shower problem I had. Even though about 15-20 minutes to city central, Tram 2 is only a 3 minute walk away. Bathroom is like new. Bed was comfortable.

Nice hotel not far from the centre of town

Posted 07-Jun-2017
Pros: Staff were friendly
We enjoyed our stay at the West Side Inn. They were doing construction while we were there but we wake early to explore the city so it did not bother us. They have bikes you can rent for a couple hour or a day or more. The bikes were amazing fun! We also ate supper at the hotel which was delicious.

Nice hotel

Posted 06-Jun-2017
The hotel was being done up at the time which was a let down. The double room I was in obviously hadn't been done up as it was nothing like the photos. Apart from that it meet my needs and is very close to shops and tram stop

Great Location

Posted 06-Jun-2017
Pros: Location & restaurant
Cons: On checkout, desk staff was much less courteous than when checking in.
Location: Lidl and Albert Heijn are around the corner for groceries. 2 minute walk to tram, 12 minute ride to Rijksmuseum.
Quiet, just out from the downtown core. 2 minute walk to tram, 12 minute ride to Rijksmuseum. Tram passes available at hotel, as are many tickets for attractions. Desk staff know what the lines are like everywhere. Restaurant in hotel is great prices and the food is quite good. Patio outside the door is chill and relaxed for those who partake in 420 and those who don't. Room did not have an opening window. This was a problem, as the room got very stuffy. The fan included was very helpful. Bathroom was clean and Mercy made sure we had everything we needed. Lidl and Albert Heijn are around the corner for groceries. I would stay here again, and I hope to stay here again!

Building site or hotel?...

Posted 05-Jun-2017
Got given a room on the side of the hotel with work going on the front of the hotel like one of the walls was covered by a large plastic sheet with building starting from nine in the morning until about six. Asked for another room got given one on the same side with more works going on. Absolutely awful so much for sleep.

Standard hotel but no air con

Posted 04-Jun-2017
Room was nice and good location for tram stops into the center. Corridors of hotel were in need of repair as roof tiles were broken exposing cables in the ceilings . No air conditioning in the rooms is fine for most of the year but when we stayed it was 30degrees c outside so the rooms were stifling, windows could only be opened a fraction so there was no breeze to cool the room dowm.

Room was unreasonably hot due to the air conditioner being broken, hotel staff accommodated us with a fan but definitely did not help, had to check out early and into a new hotel because of it. No information booklet was provided in the room or a do not disturb sign. Hotel Staff was very condescending towards us. Had called the front desk multiple times but our questions were not answered.

basic hotel, should cost max 60 euros per night

Posted 31-May-2017
Pros: easy access to the center
Cons: basically everything and the cost should be no more than 60 euros.
Location: nothing to do nearby, but has good tram link, which takes to the city center in just 5-10 minutes.
noisy in the mornings- construction going on right from 7 in the morning, ugly view from the window, you need to keep the curtains shut as people are walking right in front of your windrow and can see inside- not so clean bedding and bathroom good distance from the center, but high priced for what it has to offer, 139 euros per night without breakfast....is extremity high...you could get proper hotel with decent breakfast with such price in any European country....

Good location

Good location only 20 mins max from central. The room needed a lot of tlc, very basic, breakfast is continental so we had to travel out each morning.
