Check in/out process was a pain, especially if you were arriving after 9pm. A cash deposit was taken upon check in but no receipt was given. No confirmation of booking/card details were checked. Next day, returned to hotel to find a note saying we had not paid although this was done via Expedia and they took and hid our luggage.

This place should be remove from this site. It’s not a hotel it’s an old, musty, unclean room. It’s extremely far from Central Amsterdam and expensive to go to the city, and there’s nothing around to do or a decent place to eat. It’s a 15-20 minutes walk from the train to the hotel and to check in is another mile away with a $50 euro CASH deposit. Avoid this place at all cost! No room service, the carpet smell, horrible, room is stuffy, no working phone, WiFi is terrible, TV one working channel. Beside the neighbor felt safe, bathroom and balcony nothing about this place is worth your time or money. Take your money somewhere else.

Neat room and area
Listing says laundry on site, its actually at another hotel they own. Love the neighborhood, airplanes fly close overhead. Would stay again.

There was poo and sperm on the walls, the rooms were cold - no heating. This isn’t a clean safe place to stay

I could go on for hours about how amazing this place is. Honest the location is amazing, not too long of a walk from the train, the bakery down the streets fresh Orange juice and fruit are to die for and dont me started on the Chinese restaurant across the street and down a block. 😭😍 there is a park with a petting zoo tucked away behind the lidel grocery store as well. Beds were nice, room was clean, and the balcony was too cute. The only thing was the airplanes landing all night, nothing a set of ear plugs couldn't fix tho!

This hotel was sooooo nice. I would definitely stay again. Just take my advice and take the train into Amsterdam (it's only two stops and 3 bucks) compared to a $60 uber/cab. Loved the tub, the decor, the room size, the bed. Very nice for a romantic evening.

Recommend!
Great place to crash when exploring the city of Amsterdam. The location is quiet and therefore has little to offer around the hotel but it’s an easy 25 min train ride to central Amsterdam where all the shops, restaurants and activities are! Really appreciated having a quiet, clean room to go to after long days of walking. Check in was easy and attentive to our needs with great service :)

Doesn't look anything like the photos at all! In a run down part of town and everything in general was just strange and odd about it... Water in tub didn't work either

Daer guest, We would like to know what you mean by a run down part of town ??, nearly all of our guest like this part of town because it is in nice and quiet part of town.( town Zwanenburg ). And why din,t you ask the staff about the water for your tub ??, because we never ever had any complains about no water. Very little unique about the property. On arrival, there was no one at reception and we saw no reception staff for the five day duration. 'Reception' is an intercom voice that tells you the code to the front door. That was the last human voice we heard from management-staff. While the room was modern and we'll decorated, the amount of human hairs that we found on the duvet, cups etc was appalling. A shag-pile carpet that appeared to be rarely vacuumed was the obvious source of these hairs. Manager was informed and he apologised. I'm not sure how often bed sheets should be changed - ours were not changed during our five day stay - in what was a very warm Easter period. The bathroom was clean and modern. That is the only positive comment one could honestly make about this otherwise unhygienic and rather bleak accommodation.

Arrived early morning, the hotel staff were accommodating and allowed us to check in a little earlier than what was stated on website. Supermarket only 3 mins walk. Only downside is that we turned the heating on full however it did not heat up the room and was was still very cold.

Clean large bed, and room. Loved the porch. Polite and helpful staff. Bonus: free airport shuttle! About 1km from train depot. Also has some restaurants and mini markets close by. I would definitely stay here again.

Worst Customer Service Ever
I booked this hotel because of the price and for the airport shuttle. After confirming the shuttle to pick us up at the airport, we waited for over an hour and finally decided to grab a cab. The cab cost about 70 euros to get to this location...which is more than 1 night's stay at this location. The hotel attendant was the rudest man on earth. I explained to him how upset we were not to be picked up and most importantly the 70 euro cab ride. Apparently the hotel shuttle did go to the airport, but the shuttle had the name of a different hotel printed on the shuttle door. It did not say Villa Monte Dana. Again, I have no idea how we were supposed to know to look for a different shuttle, this was not explained to us when we confirmed the shuttle. The hotel was cute and quite. You could hear everything that other guests were doing. You could hear every time the front door opened and closed, a shower turned on, a channel changed on a tv, it was very uncomfortable. The hotel attendant was beyond rude, all we really wanted was acknowledgement and an apology. He ruined our honeymoon. Never ever stay at this hotel, they portray the worst customer service in the world.

Really just a room in someone's house
When I see villa I think a community of 1-4 bedroom houses with some communal amenities. this is really just a small bedroom inside a house. To be fair the house does have a garden.

Quite some distance from the airport
This is a semi detached house in a residential neighbourhood around half an hour from the airport. The shuttle minibus was okay sort from the fact that there were too many people so not a seat or seatbelt for everyone. Two people too many, could have been lethal in the event of an accident. Paired with a neighbouring hotel that also had a Mini bus for shuttle, amazed they didn't use both buses!

Nice bathtub and bed... That's all
Looking at the pictures before booking, the hotel had some really nice rooms... Unfortunately we didn't get one of the really nice rooms. The only upside to the room was the jetted bathtub and the size/comfort of the bed. The location is a 15 minute walk and a 7 minute (2 stops) train ride away from Amsterdam central. With the last train around 1am, leaving you to catch a taxi or uber back costing €50-€70. No reception is on site so if you require assistance you are required to dial 9 and wait a period of time before someone comes over to your room. The room wasn't as clean as I would have liked it to be (cobwebs).

Modern hotel 10 mins from Amsterdam airport
We were picked up at the airport by shuttle and a very friendly driver. We were helped with our luggage up the stairs which we appreciated. Our room was very small but modern with nice bedding but we found the bed and pillow uncomfortable. The bathroom was modern and clean. It was a good place to stay overnight but as it did not have a restaurant or kitchen, we did not eat there.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Shuttle was convenient for getting to and from the airport with very helpful shuttle driver. There is no one at the main desk. The bathroom with our room did not have a shower but a fancy jacuzzi tub which unfortunately would not drain the next morning when my friend had a bath. We called the front desk but had to wait half an hour for them to come as they are not physically on the property, they had to use a plunger to attempt to drain it and were still unsuccessful so no shower/bath for me that morning - which is a shame for the price we paid!

Not really a hotel
This facility is a remodelled large Dutch house with 7 or 8 rooms. There is no staff on the premises, if you call the manager, he is in hotel Zwanenburg nearby. The room we stayed in was half the size of the rooms pictured, the bathroom was so small that you burned your back on the radiator hanging on the wall. The doors are very thin, you hear other guests in the hallway and on the stairs. There is NO actual shuttle service. You can use the shuttle service from the nearby hotel IF you have booked a Park and Fly arrangement. There is no way for that shuttle to pick you up at this facility, you'd have to drive over to the other hotel, which works out nicely, because their parking lot is more secure. The room was clean and modern remodelled, the wallpaper was hideous, but we knew that from the pictures. This facilty really does not deserve the name "hotel", it is more like a B&B without the breakfast.

The staff was more than accommodating. The hotel is located in Hafweg Zwanenburg which is about a 7-minute train ride from Amsterdam Central Train station. Trains leave every 15-minutes and are extremely cheap (7 euros). The hotel is then a 5-7 minute walk from the Hafweg station. The room itself is very clean, roomy and comfortable.

Misleading name the hotel is not near airport
We booked as we had a late arriving flight and wanted to stay at the airport. Not only is this hotel a long way from the airport at 23km, in a converted house on a residential street in Zwanenburg, but they don't pick you up if you have a late flight! It cost us 62.30euro taxi fare to get there. The room was tiny and you had very little room to shuffle around the very comfortable double bed, and you had to pass sideways past the heated towel rail in the bathroom to get to the very good shower. After booking I checked the location and saw how far away it was so emailed them but got no replies either and when I rang from the airport I was tersely told to take a taxi. We were given a ride to the train station the next morning though.

Don't be put off by first impressions
We arrived after dark in the rain to what looked like a B&B in a totally residential area after paying 40 euros to get from the central station. We couldn't get in -the door was locked and nobody around when we ragd the bell. We finally pushed a buzzer to get a cell phone reply and the manager/receptionist then pulled up in the shuttle van. Even after entering it didn't look like a hotel. very clean but decorated a bit like a bordello. The room was very small but well provisioned. Small fridge and kettle available, heating and bathroom were great. The location is fantastic - a number of affordable restaurants close by and grocery stores. A fairly long walk to the station but then a quick trip into the centre of Amsterdam and the hotel provides a free airport shuttle. We would probably stay there again if in Amsterdam.

A room in the middle of a suburban town.
The "villa" is actually a semi-detached house in the middle of a suburban village. The room was comfortable enough except for the spotlights by the balcony which shawn into the room unless you use the black out curtains. It is on a dusk to dawn timer. I have mentioned it to the manager and he promised to look into the use of a switch or motion sensor. But he said I was the 1st to have mentioned it after so many years.

Lonely, comfortable hotel
Perfect stay! Really comfy, stylish and modern room with a huge TV and balcony. 10 minute walk to the station and 10 minute train journey in to the centre - very easy although at £13 return for the two of is not the cheapest. Overall fantastic stay!
