Not happy about the shuttle bus service. I stayed 5 nights. The shuttle bus missed twice. One night I waited more than an hour (from 6pm to 7:30pm) and call the front desk 3 times but no one picked up the phone, I took the tax back to hotel. The other night, the shuttle bus came later which caused bus overloaded and bus driver drove the bus dangerously fast that I felt the bus would overturned when made a turn. It was a horrible experience. Other than shuttle bus, other service are OK.

Bed too soft. Airport shuttle starts at 6AM which doesn't help for a 7AM flight. Told to take a taxi for 20-30 euros!! Need adapters, no USB ports in room. Furniture old & scratched, ripped upholstery. Shuttle limit 23 people; yes- terday I was on a shuttle with 28 people & was hit in the head with luggage. 10 euros an hour extra for early check in, no refund for 6 hour early check out!! Won't stay or recommend this hotel!!!

House keeping is not to the hotel standards. Garbage was not taken out. Coffee and tea tray were empty and did not get the bottle water. Once we changed room the safe and the fridge were not in working condition. The house keeping was up to near par.

The airport shuttle operates on the half hour, masks not required as stated on their website. Shuttle to hotel is a 10 minute ride. Restaurant at hotel is the only nearby option to dine and is expensive, but good food. Located adjacent to KLM offices.

We were disappointed that none of the soap/shampoo dispensers had soap in them. But because we were only staying 1 night to catch a flight back to the US, we did not report it to housekeeping.

Only 1 of 2 elevators was in service, which resulted in longer wait times. This mattered when catching the shuttle to the airport. Did and beverage we're also exceptionally expensive - enough so that my husband and I returned to the airport for dinner. However, on balance our experience was convenient and very quiet.

Great place to stay at a reasonable price. On the downside, I think that the eating options are too limited and the room service is not 24/7 which I find very unreasonable due to the area (no restaurants around).

Very nice hotel but, beware, you will be trapped in area where you cannot buy any food/items that are not at the hotel. The one convenience store across the way was closed. Breakfast at the hotel was…28 Euro!!! Crazy expensive - was good and had good selection of food but, way too expensive.

Excellent breakfast, dinner, facilities and service. My bed and pillows were very comfortable 😊 the shower was amazing! I read the reviews and chose this hotel based on them as well as the images and descriptions on the website and I’m definitely not disappointed. I have recommended it to a few colleagues and friends and i will book again in future. It’s a very classy hotel and the only downside is the location but everything else makes up for it. You can get the shuttle back to the airport and then the bus into the city centre which takes 30 minutes.

Great hotel, but be wary of cancelled flights
I am going to split this review in 2 as there were issues out of the control of the hotel. 1: Staff were fantastic, despite the issues in item 2, they remained friendly and helpful throughout, the room service waiter was without a doubt the nicest chap EVER. The food was very good, and the room was comfortable and (unlike a lot of hotels in winter), I was able to get the temperature cool enough to be comfortable. Check out was a breeze and the bus TO the airport spot on. 2: This hotel is evidently used by AF/KLM to accommodate stranded passengers, and on the day, I was checking in, a LOT of flights had been delayed, yet there was only a 20-person minibus and at least 80 passengers needing transportation, this ended up with me paying €33 for a 10-minute taxi ride. On arrival at the hotel, the queue was huge, and, although dealt with effectively by the hotel staff, still resulted in a good 30–40-minute wait. I know that the use of the hotel by the airlines is a little out of the control of the staff, but the morning shuttle was a full-sized coach, which should have been used in the evening, when they knew there was in instant high-volume demand. Would I stay here again? Well, I do like the Steigenberger brand, and the one in Hamburg is one of my favourite hotels, but the sheer inconvenience caused when used by the influx of stranded passengers will certainly make me think twice.
