Fantastic hotel! We had a wonderful experience from great location to dining and room. I’d highly recommend staying here especially if you are going on a cruise the port is right there.

The hotel was great and the breakfast option was fantastic, albeit a tad pricey. While the room was a good size and great shower, the beds were on the hard side. For most this would not be an issue, but I have had back surgeries so it was a bit difficult to sleep through the night. It was not so much an issue that I would say avoid staying here- but more of a heads up. I did enjoy the security of the place and taxis were always available. Very walkable to red light district and tram stop.

Fantastic stay but the whole experience was spoiled by being charged again for the room that I had already paid for through Hotels.com. It took many phone calls and emails to get this sorted over 2 weeks later

We found the property provided great rooms and amenities at a reasonable price. The onsite restaurant is excellent and worth having a meal. The only issue was the hotel is really in the middle of nowhere so you have to use public transportation to get into the heart of things. If the weather is nice, the walk is about 30 minutes.

It was a very nice, clean hotel. Loved our stay. We just wish the restaurant for the evening meal was larger as it was hard to get into without reservations.

I do not understand what kind of Movenpick is this? We arranged 2 Twin bed room, but they gave us a twin size and a sofa bed. No amenity kit in the room, only a show cap. Minibar is empty, even there is no water in the room. But 50Euro deposit is mandatory even nothing in the Minibar. i guess they are expecting clients will eat towels, that is why they are asking 50Euro deposit. Vending machines are fully empty. Unable to buy anything from them. Also hotel is so far to nearest supermarket, it needs to rent Uber or a taxi. we paid 320USD per night for nothing. I do not recommend this hotel.

Great room. Very convenient location for cruisers
Location was ideal for us - arriving by train and leaving by ship - easy walk from the central station and even closer to the cruise terminal. The room was excellent with a wonderful view.

You have to walk or take taxi to the restaurants, definitely taxi to go to the center of Amsterdam and come back. Otherwise it was perfect.

This hotel is a must for cruise guests. One minute walk to the cruise terminal. 10-15 minute walk to train station and old town. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean - 15th floor. High recommend if you like to walk a little for your meals and experiences. Uber is also super easy and friendly in Amsterdam if you don’t want to walk!

Our Stay at the Movenpick
Had a fantastic stay. If you are staying to get into a cruise it is a great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean room and a very comfy bed. Only downside a bit of a ways to get to some restaurants.
