Great location in quiet part of Amsterdam

Posted 23-Aug-2015
Pros: Fairly small and personal - about 100 rooms. Area is quiet at night. No fears walking at night. Great restaurant in the hotel (small portions).
Cons: Lobby under renovation for next several weeks.
Location: Close to trams to get to central Amsterdam. Walking distance to major museums, Walking to Beethovenstraat (shopping). Great restaurants nearby.
Friendly staff. Bar tender has a wicked sense of humour - almost a standup comic!

Ruhiges Hotel Nähe Amsterdam Zentrum

Posted 13-Aug-2015

Nice location, great staff

Posted 30-Jul-2015
Pros: Very nice and attentive staff. Location was perfect for us. The hotel was clean. The bedding was very nice.
Cons: Room furniture definitely needs updating! We should have been made aware when booking that the restaurant was closed. The construction noise was bad.
Location: Great location.
This hotel is in the perfect location: within walking distance of the Museum district, tram, and Vondel Park but is nestled in a quiet residential street. We had reserved a suite, and paid in advance. When we arrived, the room had an unpleasant odor and we notified the front desk. At first, they tried to get rid of the odor and we were temporarily moved to an "executive" room which was TINY but nice. Our son was due in the next day so this would not work for us, never mind the much higher price we had paid for the suite. After one night, we had to escalate the issue with management. They stepped up, moved us to their other suite and from there on out, we had nothing but excellent service and no complaints with our room other than the pull out sofa bed that our son had to sleep in was extremely uncomfortable. The hotel's main restaurant was closed for renovations and we would have liked to know that in advance. Also, our room was above the restaurant and at times, the construction noise was very LOUD. They still had room service, a nice breakfast available, and food and drinks in the bar. These were all very good. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and were pleased with the hotel.

Fin opplevelse. Rolig strøk i museumsimrådet. Frokost på fine kafeer i nærheten. Fint hotell

Langes Wochenende in Amsterdam.

not a 5 star hotel...

Posted 28-Jul-2015
Pros: price!!
Location: the location is not the best, a bit away from the main attractions, but public transport can easily reach all places.
The hotel is not bad, definitely not a 5 star hotel.... the staff was friendly and professional only when we arrived the Bellman's not greeted to us, but the rest of the people were kind, they had to replace the bed in our room because the mattress had impregnated a terrible smell beyond that everything was fine, the location is not the best, a bit away from the main attractions, but public transport can easily reach all places.

Hat diese 5 Sterne nicht und nimmer verdient.

Posted 25-Jul-2015
Pros: WLAN, Fahrstuhl
Cons: Fangt beim Frühstück an.

Nice hotel, nice area

Posted 20-Jul-2015
Pros: The staff were so nice and nothing was too much trouble. You can buy tram tickets and sightseeing trips etc from reception which is really useful.
Cons: Decent hairdryer in the room!! They have those awful "hotel" dryers in the bathroom on the wall.
Location: The Museum Quarter is within walking distance. Nice local bars/restaurants near the hotel. Tram within walking distance.
This is a lovely hotel as long as you don't mind being quite a distance from the centre of Amsterdam. It's a very nice area and there are a few nice restaurants. The buffet breakfast is very good although a little pricey, you can get breakfast at a local restaurant for half the price but you don't get so much choice of course! Very comfy bed and pillows.

sauberes Hotel aber keine 5 Sterne verdient.

Posted 16-Jul-2015
