Quiet hotel, was nice but very underwhelming room for five stars. Room service was pretty tasty though. Room was quiet and comfortable if simple and small. Staff were very helpful.

Relaxed and Cultured

Posted 23-Nov-2015
Pros: Sophisticated, warm and welcoming feel. Modern and relaxed. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff are friendly. What more can you ask for.
Location: Quite, safe and convenient. Situated in an exclusive residential area.short walk to the museum quarter, beautiful shops.Trams to the centre.
To begin your city break in Amsterdam and finding yourself in the Bilderberg Garden, Executive Room is just perfect. Welcomed by staff who make you feel they are there for you is warming. All aspects of the hotel are relaxed, the reception, cosy bar with its comfy modern chairs, buffet breakfast area which transform into an intimate candle lit restaurant. The communal areas are superb. The complimentary mini bar, teas and coffee welcome you to your Executive Room. The room furnishings, jacuzzi bath and warm bed is just what a relaxing break should present. Within walking distance or tram ride youll find a city of openness and warmth. The liberal mined people welcome you with open arms, embracing your own culture whilst sharing theirs. what does this mean? Amsterdam has an history of the arts which stems centuries. Rembrandt stands tall looking with artistic pride in one of the many little squares, surrounded by the winter warming stalls selling hot chocolate, coffee and beautiful light, fluffy waffles.Vincent Van Goff, vibrancy and colour ripple through the streets with it array of nations. The museum quarter and galleries host the Netherlands history and is well worth a visit. Unwind along the gentle flowing canal or commute using the bustling, frequent tram into Dam Square a must see especially now leading up to Christmas. The lights tingle like diamonds from the palace and the enticing department stores and hotels inviting you to take a peek. Enjoy

The hotel repair was made many years ago and everything inside looks quite heavy-used

Tolle Gegend, Personal nicht von heute.

Posted 05-Nov-2015
Pros: Die Gegend fanden wir richtig klasse, Parkplätze waren gut erreichbar. Taxi schnell vor Ort.
Cons: Personal.
Location: Sehr nahe am Zentrum in guter Wohngegend.
Das Frühstück war etwas lieblos, das Personal unpersönlich und arrogant.

Quiet, comfortable, clean and well positioned hotel

Posted 04-Nov-2015 on Hotels
The hotel was exactly as expected based on other reviews. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional at all times and the barman had a happy disposition! Our room was comfortable and cleaned morning and night with the bed turned down. We didn't eat in the hotel at all so I can't comment on that. It was fabulous to be able to walk to the Van Gogh museum and centre of town and we would certainly return and recommend it.

experience was inconsistent. some things are going really well, but there were too many mistakes... last but not least a 80 extra charge proposed at the end of the stay, I almost didn't take a closer look, but then thought that's seems a bit much and it turned out to be all invented.

great staff but definitely NOT 5 star

Posted 02-Nov-2015
Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. But this is no 5-star hotel. 5-stars means actual hotel facilities and not just directions to facilities where I can pay more money. Room was clean, beds were great, but carpet and walls faded and huge mold streaks in bathroom. 3.5 stars at best.
