Stayed from 3/8/15 to 15/8/15, all inclusive. Great staff, great facilities, great location, hotel has private beach with a decent number of sunbeds. Although I have food allergies I could have a substantial meal at each sitting, chef being very helpful with advising as to ingredients of each dish. Whether you prefer the beach or the pool for lounging, get out there early as the hotel was predominantly occupied by French and German guests who seem to have an ethos of put your towel on the sunbed and turn up when you like. No disrespect to either nationality but seems to be their norm.
Having said the above about sun beds I can not think of a holiday which was more relaxing than this.

We have been so well served with a free extension of stay by Sophie that we cannot give a bad review. The room was average size with AC & balcony.
They were a moisty smell in the room. We found the solution by cleaning the filthy AC filters. The people who clean the linens are surely smokers because the sheet had a strong cigarette smell (should be a easy solution). Beside that all was OK and close to your need. Just 5 min. Walks you can pick the bus #1 (next to Castro Hotel) to the airport (1.70€ from the machine)
We booked two weeks in mid august 2015 for two adults and a five year old child for £1530 so I can't complain. It's a four star, which if you are familiar with how a hotel gets its stars it's right for this hotel.
Entertainment (animation) staff are excellent, the restaurant staff and room staff are also good.
Cleanliness of the hotel is fantastic and the manager keeps a keen eye on this.
The accommodation is up ok but despite reports of it being recently renovated is still out of date and not all that good. I did have a family room booked but opted to be in the main block as i heard it was newer. We did also view the family rooms but decided not take one despite paying for one as they were even more out of date.
Food is ok but not but ranks as average. I have worse and better at his class of hotel.
Over all we all we enjoyed our stay. We hung out at the slide pool most days as the beach as annexed early on by the Russian guests who quickly laid claim the the area around the main swimming pool.
The staff are what makes this hotel and I would recommend it for a families as a great place to go. The local area is boring but a bus ride away is Heraklion and recommended day trip is to Santorini.
