5/5 Excellent

Our stay at Nant Melyn, Brynamman
Perfect in every way! So comfortable and relaxing, all the white goods you could wish for, lovely comfy beds, pots and pans for every occasion, and beautiful garden, our little dog loved it too, in one word PERFECT!

5-day break
Lovely property with very nice decor and with access to walking trails. Other towns/tourist areas within driving distance but very little in the village itself, pubs either permanently closed or open minimal hours . Nearest eat-in is the rugby club with nice menu but limited opening times. However, good kitchen in cottage and dishwasher, actually saved money eating in and with log stove fire going, very cosy, so stock up on groceries. Loved the Black Mountain Centre, people friendly and helpful and enjoyed breakfast outside, between rain showers. Although not what expected, we enjoyed ourselves

Good holiday
Lovely well appointed cottage. Very steep stairs and temperamental TV (or was it us!). Excellent shower and Very helpful neighbour. We had a great time and might well come again.

Lovely cottage, great location
We loved our stay at Nant Melyn cottage. The cottage itself was impeccably clean, welcoming and has a lovely garden. Perfect location for walks up to the Black Mountain, a visit to Waterfall Country and a drive to the Gower Peninsula. The dog loved his adventure and was absolutely knackered at the end of the day (so were we!) Only one downfall for us and it has nothing to do with the cottage. The Derlwyn arms was open on Sunday when we arrived but closed until Friday (we stayed Sunday Mon-Thurs) and the other local pub, Tregib Arms was also closed until Wednesday. Luckily we had the garden to enjoy with a cold glass of wine at the end of the day. We would highly recommend staying here and will be looking to coming back to this stunning part of the UK very soon.
