We loved the hotel. The room and location are everything that was touted on the website. The only challenge is the distance from anything else. Locked in to their restaurant and although the food is good it gets old eating at the same place. Hotel is inflexible about water taxi time unless you pay $70 U.S. per person per trip.
Caye Casa is about a 7 minute walk from the downtown district. It was far enough away to be out of the noise and chaos, but close enough to be convenient for meals and shopping. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. There is a great view of the Caribbean off the front balcony and a wonderful ocean breeze. There is a massage therapist right next door to Caye Casa who gives 5-star massages. Also, Mr. Nunez has his boat moored on the dock in front of the hotel (New Day Adventures). I highly recommend his guide services! We hired him for a trip to Hol Chan Shark Ray Alley reserve. He only takes small groups, and he provides excellent personalized service at reasonable prices.

Caye Casa is a boutique hotel on the Caribbean Sea. Convenient, peaceful and private, it is a ten minute leisurely stroll on …More
I will admit I didn't do my homework prior to my arrival in regards to how long the commute would be from the belize airport to San Pedro; I did like the hotel and its location. I wished when I had asked for a upgrade since the hotel was not full they would have been accommodating but regardless the hotel room was very nice and met our requirements. Larry was wonderful and helped us catch fish !
The rooms were clean & the staff very friendly. The rooms were small so there wasn't much space for 4 people & the luggage. It was nice that the water was ok so that you could brush your teeth without bottled water. The room had a fridge which was nice. Continental breakfast was a plus. The pool was small but nice. I wish there would have been some things to do at the resort interest of always having to leave the area.
The hotel was secluded from the little town which provided a very restful atmosphere. The villa was impressive and very accommodating. The beds are wonderful! I thought that beverages and such are a little too pricey for the extra services that are provided at the hotel.
I traveled to Victoria House on the recommendation of a friend who had visited twice. I was NOT disappointed! I planned this trip as a solo adventure. I wanted to get away from my usual kind of trip (renting an apartment) and really relax. Victoria House was perfect for me. Not only is it gorgeous, the staff went above an beyond the call of duty to make me feel welcomed. By the end of my week, I was on a first name basis with almost everyone on staff and we had shared stories of our lives.
The rooms are very pretty and well appointed. In fact, I didn't want to leave the bed in Belize! I slept at Victoria House better than I sleep in my own bedroom.
I booked two excursions off resort to go snorkeling and to see some Mayan ruins.Neither was a disappointment. In fact, they were two of the best excursions I've ever been on during my travels.
I would not hesitate to stay at Victoria House again. In fact, I plan on returning to Belize and staying there again.
The Grand Caribe and it's staff was unbelievable. I had a two bedroom on the bottom floor and loved it. The room was clean and very comfortable. Had everything we needed and then some.
The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The staff at the pool bar was a blast. Food was great at the "Rain " restaurant. Rain also supplied the food for the pool area and room service.
If I can make it back to San Pedro island Belize there is no other place I would stay.
the Grand Caribe is far and away the best place on the island.
The largest of several cayes (islands) off the northern coast of Belize, this narrow strip of paradise is beloved among sun-worshippers, snorkelers, and swimmers. In addition to boasting the Belize Barrier Reef, the island is home to mangrove forests, tropical savannahs, and lagoons.
