Nice Family Owned Hotel
The hotel was very welcoming and the staff was very nice. Housekeeping and turndown service was efficient and they always seemed to take care of the room when we were out eating. The breakfast buffet was extensive and very good. The pool is nice. We ate dinner at the restaurant on our last night. It was decent, a bit expensive and the portions were on the smaller side for the price paid. The hotel is very close to the beach so the walk down is easy. The walk up to dinner if you decide to venture up into the town is fairly difficult (many many stairs).
There are a lot of flies, which makes laying by the pool less than relaxing having to shoo them away every few seconds. There are also feral cats which may bother some folks. Neither are exclusive of the hotel, but Positano in general. The overall price of the room was a bit high, but consistent with other hotels in the area, as there are no chains.
