Very nice views and convenient for bus/taxi access

Posted 18-Oct-2016
Given difficulty of one way streets thru Positano, villa Gabrisa is very well situated in city. Very friendly staff, great breakfast, excellent outside seating overlooking the coast. Bus stops outside and easy to arrange taxis. Room was spacious and nice outside patio area. Pillows too hard was only downside.

Relaxed, stayed in the moment and was captivated by the style.Ate well, being Floridians who enjoy top rated beaches we did not spent time at the beaches in Positano. The beach views were totally pleasurable and relaxing.

Great hotel with stunning views!

Posted 09-Sep-2016 on Hotels
This wonderful hotel is located near the top of the city, giving you amazing views from the balconies. The only downfall is when you walk down to the beach or something, remember it's more difficult walking back up! Our room was more like an apartment with a living room area including sofa, a full kitchen, separate bedroom with sitting/reading area, large bathroom and a huge balcony overlooking the water. They even gave us a cell phone for use as the phone in the room, but told us we could take it out with us each day in case we wanted to call them with any questions, etc. Continental breakfast is served in the restaurant area next to the lobby and you can choose to sit inside or outside overlooking the city. The staff is incredibly accommodating and gracious. The only thing we did wrong was not stay here long enough! I would stay here again anytime!

Great location and exceptional staff

Posted 09-Sep-2016
We planned a last minute trip and really hit the jackpot with Villa Gabrisa. The location was higher in the mountain than we have stayed in the past so the view was always breathtaking. The staff were friendly, helpful and really added to our short stay. Room number 2 was very beautiful and filled with antiques. And lastly dinner was exceptional. Highly recommend and we will be back for sure.

Scenic views from the top of Positano

Posted 04-Sep-2016
Pros: We felt that the service was wecoming, friendly and personal.
We stayed at the hotel for one night to facilitate a short visit to Positano as part of a longer stay near Paestum further South. We received a lovely welcome from the reception staff which felt friendly and personal Our car was swiftly whisked away for parking at a nearby site and we were shown to two beautiful rooms with gorgeous terraces overlooking the bay. We ate at the restaurant, sitting outside for the glorious view. The food and service were good and reasonably priced for the location. We very much enjoyed our stay. Because the hotel is situated high up in the town it is a peaceful retreat from the business of the streets below. There are a lot of steps to negotiate however if exploring the town on foot, although the journey back up can of course be done by bus or taxi. We would certainly stay again.

Great hotel, a lot of walking.

Posted 01-Sep-2016 on Hotels
This was an amazing place to visit however the map does not do justice when it comes to how far the hotel is from the port. We took a taxi which is extremely expensive. It cost us 23 euros to get to the hotel. It is quite a difficult walk. The bus is extremely packed and difficult to get on. Otherwise this is a great hotel with a very friendly staff.

Beautiful views..

Posted 31-Aug-2016
Pros: Beautiful suite.
Cons: An awning over the 2 suite balconies to protect from the sun. We found the balcony was unusable after 11am until about 5-6pm.
Location: Location is very high up on the cliff and even going down to the main square is tiring in the heat of the day. There is a bus that runs every half hou
My husband and I enjoyed a lovely weekend at the Villa Gabrisa and had paid extra for a suite, but was very disappointed to be told that despite the extremely hot weather, we could not use the fridge in the room to store our water or wine.

Best hotel we ever stayed at! Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Positano! The hotel was so helpful setting up taxis, food choices, towels for the beach, and anything and everything we needed! It was great to be able to enjoy and relax after we stayed at the hussel and bussel of Rome! Would recommend to anyone going on their honeymoon if you want to be able to look from your bed to a gorgeous view of the sea!
