My sister and I stayed at this hotel for a week and had a lovely experience. Staff were helpful and polite and rooms were cleaned daily. We were impressed at the quality and choice of the breakfast and the roof terrace is lovely to sit out on in the days and evenings. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Amalfi where you can get regular buses to all the main towns. There was sadly no swimming pool at the hotel but the spa looked great although we never used it and it's a short walk to the beach in Atrani. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again.
the staff and manager made my experience the best. I had left my eye glasses in a hotel in London and had to have them shipped directly to the owner's home. Very helpful and accommodating.
their attitude is great.
Built into the mountain in the 1960s, it seems like an outdated hotel with few facilities. There are hours every day when you cannot get anything to eat except a snack at the beach or the pool (and there were times when you actually could not get anything to eat during the day). On arrival, my wife and I were given a room in the basement, which had a basement mold/mildew smell, and a plastic coated bedspread. We rejected the room, and thankfully because we book our stay through Expedia, we were given a room two stories higher (there are 5 stories of rooms), and this new room was acceptable (but not anything to write home about). The beach chaises and grounds are not particularly appealing. However, in spite of all these negatives, the views are amazing, the desk clerk was so amazing that we gave him a tip (which we think was generous), most of the wait staff was very nice, the food was good, and we enjoyed our stay. P.S. Driving along the Amalfi coast ia an indescribable experience that anyone likely will either love or hate.
Amazing views over the sea from our room and in the breakfast area. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good location. Only down side is that there was no was tea/coffee making facilities and we had to use very steep spiral stairs down to our room. People with mobility issues would really struggle. But overall a lovely little hotel.
Great location, just outside Amalfi centre, and walkable as we did every night.
Would have been nicer to be 10 minutes nearer.
We were upgraded to the only suite in the hotel for €20 per night. Room was spotlessly clean with large terrace with table, chairs and loungers.
Breakfast was ok but very basic and never changed each day.
There is no pool, but most hotels dont offer the same either.
They strive for 3 star But thst is what they achieve.
Fantastic location up on the hill just outside centre of Amalfi. The hotel has a regular free shuttle bus to the private beach and centre. Staff here were great nothing was too much trouble. Well worth a stay

Built in typical Italian style, this cliff-edge hotel is surrounded by pinewoods and boasts spectacular views over the bay …More
A charming cluster of pastel houses, shops, cafés and watchtowers, Amalfi seems little more than a village. However it was a great naval power and a wealthy trading republic in medieval times. Its dramatic setting in jagged cliffs cloaked in vineyards is best seen from a boat. Amalfi’s star turn is a gorgeous cathedral with great bronze doors and lacy cloisters. The nearby village of Atrani is quiet and pretty, with a fine Byzantine church.
