"Beautiful views but the mattress was really old..."
Outstanding views and the staff seemed really nice. They have a lovely pool that overlooks all of Amalfi. On the down die, my mattress was old and uneven and I kept waking up because my back hurt. Great breakfast and custom made to order eggs. I would stay again if they would replace the mattress.

We stayed here during our honeymoon and it was a PHENOMENAL experience! The hotel itself is GORGEOUS! It used to be an old convent but has been completely remodeled. They still kept a lot of the original architecture which was breathtaking. Infinity pool was beautiful just like in the pictures. The staff was so friendly and we felt like family with them by the time we left. Paolo, Alfonso, Roberto, and Francesco were the BEST!! Every morning when we came down for breakfast they were there to welcome us with a smile and warm greeting. The food in the hotel restaurant was delicious (we had dinner 3 out of our 9 nights in the hotel). However, the room service food always seemed to be sub-par; which was confusing because every meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner) we had IN the dining room was so delicious. On our last few nights the concierge had developed a list of activities that they placed in the guests rooms. It was something new they were trying out and we welcomed it as there is not a ton to do at the hotel besides the spa and pool. We took part in the Wine Tasting with Massimo, the sommelier. It was fun and very informative. The wine tasting also gave us the opportunity to mingle with the other guests. Overall we had a great experience and the staff really made us feel welcomed and made our honeymoon memorable!!

Our room (42) was very unusual with a rock face on one wall, and short stairway up to our own private sitting area, overlooking the amazingly clear ocean. You could hear the waves crashing against the sea wall at night. The roadway, very busy ,was right under our window, but the view from the room was worth it. The buffet breakfast was amazing, with just about anything , anyone from anywhere in the world would like! Short, sometimes perilous walk down to town center on the winding roadway, but amalfi town was worth the walk.
Our time there was comfortable; the location was great; Gabriella was friendly and helpful beyond expectations! Breakfast was plentiful and was very pleasing. The rooftop terrace provided a good view and a comfortable, quiet resting place.

The hotel was in a brilliant location walking distance to Amalfi and Ravello. Staff were brilliant and extremely helpful especially with my allergies. There are lots of steps to the hotel, so would recommend comfortable shoes. Very peaceful and great Prosecco :)
The hotel is easy to find and a 5 min walk to main square/bus/ferry terminals. The room was small but adequate for sleeping. Everything worked in the bathroom and was clean. Wi-fi was weak and a storm knocked it out completely. Breakfast buffet was impressive and staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.

This hotel stay was spectacular. While the hotel is about a 10 minute walk from town, the view from the rooms is easily the best on the coast. The hotel staff are very accommodating, the free breakfast is delicious, and the overall stay is wonderful

The Hotel Aurora was a great find. The BEST location possible in Almalfi ! right on the sea front with fantastic views of the marina and town. Really quiet and peaceful, but within a couple of min's walk to the busy main centre. Spotless rooms and very helpful and friendly staff. The location made it so easy to hop on buses or boats to all the other wonderful places to visit in the area such as Positano and Ravello. There were so many lovely restaurants serving beautiful fresh pasta or fish. The hotel made recommendations and offered discounts in many of the local restaurants. The Aurora offers breakfast, which was popular with other guests. We are not really breakfast people so never used it, but the smell every morning was delicious. Prior to our arrival we contacted Andrea at the hotel to arrange a private taxi transfer. The service offered was seamless, our driver was excellent and waiting for us on arrival and departure to Naples Airport.

A charming cluster of pastel houses, shops, cafés and watchtowers, Amalfi seems little more than a village. However it was a great naval power and a wealthy trading republic in medieval times. Its dramatic setting in jagged cliffs cloaked in vineyards is best seen from a boat. Amalfi’s star turn is a gorgeous cathedral with great bronze doors and lacy cloisters. The nearby village of Atrani is quiet and pretty, with a fine Byzantine church.
